About Me
I love to make all types of quilts as well as admire the beautiful work of other talented and artistic quilters. I have won a couple of Blue Ribbons and one Grand Champion Quilt Ribbon at the State Fair. I prefer making old fashioned scrappy quilts rather than the current trend towards more the artistic designs. My short-term goal is to master the Inner City quilt pattern. I am also a former professional "pets and their people" photographer.

Hi Linda:

It's been a while... My computer had a melt down. I'm quilting and getting ready for our Quilt Auction Nov. 6 at the Ute Pass Cultural Center 6:00 p to 9 p. Up here in Woodland Park, CO. It's the Decadent Desserts from our Quilt Table Cook book. Our group Quilters Above the Clouds, are putting it on to raise $ for the Advocacy Quilts for the kids in El Paso and Teller Counties.

If you are interested. We will have a live auction too. I hope that you and a friend could come. I will be helping out with the event. I'd love to meet you in person.I hope that you are busy quilting. I've got 7 quilts in que and hoping to get them all done for the auction. I will catch up with you after the event.
Take good care.
Stitching On,

Thanks for the comment! I just made up the pattern for chili jar bags with a little trial and error, based on some other drawstring bags I had done in the past (with patterns). The jars were oddly sized, so I had to make them long and skinny!

I won't be responsible for the backing or the quilting... This quilt is for my long-arm quilter... she is getting this quilt top and I'm getting 5 quilts quilted... I think it is a fair trade!! But she will be doing the quilting on it...

Hi Linda.... I waited months to do the dog sweatshirt... had everything but the sweatshirt and had to wait until Walmart put sweatshirts back out on the shelves. It's a pattern by Whistlepig Creek Productions .... (www.wpcreek.com)... #1155 Beagles and Bassetts and Bones. There's also one for cats, but I don't know name or number. For some reason, I couldn't get everything on the back like the pattern suggested, so just did the 4 dogs, then put the bones on the front so they look like they're coming out of one of the pockets. There's also a cute purse pattern included. Can't wait to wear it to guild tonight and show it off.

Yeah, 13 is done and posted and I've finished 15 and 16 and I'm still working on the braids to go around 14... I had calculated the width of the strips for the braid wrong the first time... duh!!! Had a senior moment and I'm not all that senior yet...

you left a comment on another persons quilt, it was in the blue family and it was gentle curved piecing, you asked the name of the pattern, It looks like the pattern called Eureka by Maple Tree Quilts...; this pattern is easy and goes together nicely, I have made a couple and taught some classes on it, I love how it looks in all batiks.. hope this helps

Thanks for the complements. The string mini was fun to make, but it didn't put a dent in my scrap bag. Guess I'll have to make 1000 more.
