Thanks Lindy, I have been out of town for 8 days and still catching up with settling back to routine here at home. Have not done a SBS blocks since i got back......
Hi Lindy,
This is how clueless I am about blogging. I just found your post yesterday. I didn't even notice the comments on my introduction. I am so glad you found me, and I found you, laugh. You do amazing work. The watermelon is still one of my favorites. You said we had things in common? Quilting for sure. Do you machine quilt for others? Forgive me, I am so tired. email me anytime you would like. Things have been so crazy with the move. Your Grand Children are gorgeous, which is very understandable why they are the center of your world.
I would love to talk more. I am going to go look at your beautiful quilts again, and be jealous.
Renee
Hi Lindy! The block on my icon is a POTC block...Patchwork Of The Crosses through Inklingo.com They are not as difficult as you might think with Inklingo to help make it easy and very precise too!
Lindy....sorry but no I don't play the harp. I used to play the piano a long time ago and have directed handbell choirs. But at the moment, I just quilt. I'm a little behind on the SBS but am trying to get Christmas done before I leave on a cruise Nov. 28. Also my DH has not been feeling well......so most everything is on the back burner.
Lindy, Thanks for the UT video on :Mean Kitty." It looks just like Moe and he was a bitey cat, too. He is five years old now and seems to be finally coming out of that stage and becoming more mellow. Although he does go crazy sometimes and runs around and jumps up on the bannister (he has fallen twice [used up a couple of his nine lives] and still jumps up there). Sorry to hear about your cat. They do give us so much comfort and joy. Love your quilts.
Hey Lindy:
My tatting is still on hold as I'm currently trying to finish a large batik quilt plus another small quilt. I see you have a Featherweight sewing machine shown in a panel in one of your quilts. I have a Featherweight machine and am guessing that you might have one, also.
I am so sorry about your kitten. I have that watermelon fabric and made a dress for my grand daughter. My leftovers now will go into a quilt. I wish I knew how to upload a picture. Learning process. 000_0052.jpg
Thanks for the compliment on my spring quilt Lindy. The fabric you like is really a shade of red, but it looks almost rust color in the photo. I want to get it quilted by a longarm quilter but haven't had the money as my dh has been out of work for over a yr. Hopefully I will be able to afford to do that soon as it is a big quilt and really needs fancier quilting than I can handle by hand!
