About Me
I love fabric, fabric shops, quilting and quilt shops. There are not enough hours in the day to do all that I want to do but I fill them up with as much as I can. I am a recent widow and I am making my quilting a way to help cure my lonesomeness. I love to travel and my husband and I were RV'ers and camping was our favorite way to travel.

HI Lois- I am answering your note on Newbies. Try checking to be sure you have the following/stop following icon in the comment box clicked so it says not stop following. It's sort of weird that it says 'stop following' when you are following. Hope that helps.

Lois, I am sure that Van Community Ministries is grateful for any donations they receive.  They will understand that you have other things to cover first.

Many people are finally able to start rebuilding.  It is sad that it takes the insurance companies and government this long to start getting the funds to the victims.  Many victims attend my church.  One lady that worked for VCM, her home was one that was totaled.  She had to leave her position just to deal with her home.   One of the pastors of the church took over that position.

I do know that VCM has helped people out all of this time, with food and clothing for all ages.  I am glad that our small community has that charity to fall back on in time of need.  I am also sure that other churches are helping their members through this also.

Thank you for what you are able to do, when you can do it.

Sincerely,

Carol

If you took up quilting, how long ago?  Need an RV co-pilot? I look at the possibilities all the time. Live on ltd budget, jobs are scashe for someone my age. The training, education of before no longer enough..  Love the RV commercial on my TV, then I'm off dreaming of that day.. Never say never is my motto..

I live in Canada, province of Manitoba, which is between Ontario/Alberta on map. Next to Saskatchewan. Winnipeg is the capital of my province where I live now, but I grew on a farm till 20yrs. due to work prospects had to move to city. I never completely adapted to the city mentality. But 35yrs later memories remain..

I like sewing and marvel at the beauty of print, colors in fabric. To think that my grandmother back then, was limited to certain fabrics would be in heaven in this world of choices...

Lois, Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and anything that you can do to support our community.  We too are on one fixed income.  We understand.

I would love to meet you if you find yourself in my neck of the woods.

God Bless,

Carol
