Hello, Neighbor! I too am in Nampa! Whoo......That said, you MUST know BlueBird Studio! I'm taking a long-arm class there tomorrow. I cross stitch, crochet, learned to knit last year), sew, quilt, and am learning to machine embroider as well. We are going to become Grandparents for the first time in June - so getting ready for a lot of baby items to make up! If you get a chance - send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org....maybe we can get together for coffee sometime! Karen
I am so sorry that I have not got in contact with you about working on the quilt. I have just been busy, that is not excuse. Have you and the other gals been working on it? I do want to help. Again sorry for my absence.
Hope the weather is clearing up there. We are cool here again today. Has not been a hard winter for us here though. Just have spring fever. My newest grandson joined us on Feb 15th so all is great with the world.
We're about 3 minutes from Interstate 5, about halfway between Eugene and Medford. Thanks for the nice words- showing my stuff to other quilters really intimidates me! I'm a paper piecing nut! I love the Mariner's stars with all the sharp points. Non-quilters don't realize how easy it is and they think you've done something fantastic when all you have to do is sew on the lines!
Thank you for the comments. I actually grew up in Tangent, OR, in fact my dad used to be mayor of the fine city of Tangent! I didn't migrate too far north by landing in Jefferson, but we like it here. So about the block, I can use any pattern and it should be 12" and made with red/white fabric? And my 'contact person' is Lynne? I'll search out the comment section on NW Quilters and see what I can find out. Sue
