I have had a crazy week and a half, with my niece, her husband and two little ones visiting while they are between homes. It's the first time I've seen my great niece (18 mos.) and great nephew (2 mos.) and it's just been wonderful. And I've been able to sew some things with my niece. I think we're going to be making a pillow from… Continue

Slackers Signature Star Swap

Several of us over at Darlene’s Sylvia’s Bridal Sampler Slackers group (that is a mouthful) have decided to do a block swap. We’ll be swapping 12” finished star blocks and in true Slacker fashion, we’re taking our sweet time about it. We’d like to invite any and all of you to participate. In addition to making blocks for each participant, we’ll each be making an extra block for a charity quilt.

Here are our swap rules:

Make a 12” finished star block (12 ½” unfinished). It can…

Thank you for you comments about my quilts. I really enjoy all the aspects of quilting and seeing them finished. I really love your profile picture. it's simply gorgeous and my colors. What pattern is it? Sharon

Hi Linda,  I looked through your blocks and quilts and notice that you have a preferance for blues, aqua's and pinks. Those are my favorite colors, too. You have many different beautiful blocks.  Sharon

Lynda, I was wondering if you sent the package yet and if you did when?  I haven't received it and don't want the blocks to be lost in space. lol   Not rushing you, but I wanted to check it out.

Which one of my blocks did you get?  I was thinking of you when I made the one with the fairies (blue and purple) but I didn't tag any of them for any certain person.

Lynda, So sorry to hear you were in the hospital.  I hope you are home now and on the mend.  I needed to be in the hospital, but didn't go.  Daughter had the Flu and son got sick Christmas AM I was up with my husband last night, he had vomiting and diarrhea, to the point he had a mild seizure I think.  Scared me to death and I am a nurse.  Anyway.  Gayle has volenteered to quilt it and I can't remember who but someone else said they would put the block together.  I was unsure about what to do about batting and backing?  any suggestions.  You get well ok.

Lynda,

Sorry I didn't get to you first about getting a quilt together for Yolanda's family.  I didn't even think about it, I just posted to the main page for the slacker star group.  Anyway I thought it would be nice for her family to have something from so many people/places that were working on something with Yolanda.  Thanks
