I've been quilting since about 1990, but have been sewing all my life. Just had to replace my beloved Singer Touch N" Sew (bought in 1968, and the repairman finally told my husband to "shoot it and bury it, because I'm not trying to fix it any more") with a new Bernina, and am delighted with all the new tricks I can do. I really like to hand quilt, but am trying to become more adept at machine quilting. I own a small business, so cherish every moment I can put into quilting.

MES, HI! Just wanted to say, Jeff got his copy of your letter to me. He was thrilled to hear of your husbands journey and how long he has had his kidney. It made Jeff very happy and he feels more hopeful now! Thanks again! hugs Morgan
MES, I just ran across this letter to me and to Jeff. Whoa, what a letter. You did bring tears to me. I am touched so much by this, and yep my emotions are all over the place. I am so grateful for words of yours. Jeff does need to see this, and your summing it up, that it is just meant to be, is an answer for Jeff. Thank you so very much! It has been very inspiring to hear such news and yes, you do know what I think my son has thought of, as well as I have. That tiny feeling something could go wrong. Yet, I think we are more to think now… that it was meant to be. Your story of your husband has touched me and I am grateful for this letter you have shared with us. I will pray for your husband to have good results for his knees, and yes, it made me smile to know your husband has always moved forward and gained so many new things in his life. What I loved most that he has laughed! It brought goose bumps to me, as that is so wonderful. I am sending over to Jeff your Letter. I think he needs this right about now. Hug Morgan
Mes, I just saw I had another note from you for Jeff and I. Thank you so much. Jeff is doing really good. I am so pleased. I keep smiling... and so much has lifted off of me. I am thanking God, all I can. Hugs Morgan
Mary, nice to meet you. I also made all my childrens clothes until jeans were the in thing. My machine wasn't heavy duty enough. Did you flat-felt the seams? The children growing up and out is why I took up quilting. So the creative juices would still have an avenue to flow. I use to think I wanted a children's specialty shop but I read somewhere not to turn your hobby into a job or you would lose your love of it after a while. Beside no pressure (about sewing that is) is my new philosophy.
Have a great day!
MES, this doesn't have any thing to do with quilting but your initals are the same as my husbands.
Is your business sewing? I too love to sew everything. But all my quilting is hand. One day I look forward to quitting work and spending more time on it.
