Hi Maggi, just love your inter-twined table runner - would love to do something similar. I had a friend from San Antonio her husband was working in oil and was working in UK we had a wonderful time together and now she has gone back home - her name was Flora Izzell- her husband has now died unfortunately.
Hi Maggie -= I saw on "chat" that you are looking for the Missouri Quilt Co. pattern called Tavern Blues - Civil War quilt. If you go into the Missouri Quilt Co. website or "google" it, they have it for sale. Hope this helps. Becky Carmichael, Jeannette, Pa
Maggie I saw that you were trying to find a pattern called Tavern Blues. That pattern was designed by Red Crinoline Quilts, formerly Bonnie Blue Quilt Patterns. You can find the pattern on their website,, go to www.bonniebluequilts.com and search thru patterns. It is still available for purchase.
That sounds like some great fabric. I hope the USPS doesn't lose it again, and it gets to you soon.
I think it's great that you are getting your BS degree! I went to college when I was 30, had a 10 and 8 year old, and a husband that was going out to sea. It was tough, but I did it. At my graduation, my 14 year old daughter yelled out, 'Alright Mom!'. That was the best. Good luck, I am with you in spirit on that one. 'Alright, Maggie!'
Hi Maggie, just wanted to look in on your page and see where you were from. Our DD lives just out of Collumbia, S.C.. I love those Hummingbird blocks you are working on. I have just finished putting together a quilt using that BQ2 pattern. I just love what it does for a square. It will turn a 12.5" square into 18" like magic. See you around on the group pages again.
Hi maggie congrats on getting your new machine feel free to send me a message if you have any questions too.. since i am so used to brother machines.. even my granddaughter likes them too.. hope you enjoy yours and may you have soo much fun
I seen on chat that your sewing machine arrived. Yaaaay. I found the paper I had written the model of machine I got my granddaughter. It's the Brother CS 5055 Limited Edition, Project Runway. I got it on Amazon Cyber Monday. I haven't talked to her lately but she called me one night asking about how to get the bobbin thread to come up. She thought from what the manual was telling her that the bobbin thread had to come up and go through the needle. I walked her through it and I could hear her sewing. It excites me every time someone gets a new machine and wants to sew. It's such a fun and relaxing hobbie. I can't wait to chat with you and hear all about this exciting day in your life. I just cut out two purses. I had enough fabric to make two of the same color. I will give one to my friend for her bday and sell the other one. I'm going up and put my jammies on and probably start them tonight. Sometimes I sew until 11:00 O'clock at night. I fall asleep if I watch t.v. lol
