Haven't heard from you lately so I thought I would send you a summer greeting of sunshine & flowers! Hope you are outside enjoying nature since you've been in the classroom so much the last years. Have you tackled the quilt as you go yet? Whenever you get a chance drop me a line & let me know what you are up to!--Happy Stitching till then! Donna
Hi Maimie-I knew you wouldn't be able to "just relax" for long. Good to hear you're exercising-more power to you! I bet you can feel a difference in your energy level losing the weight you have. I'm cheering you on believe me!!! Been trying to lose some of my own weight (but evidently I don't have the willpower to avoid the junk), but I intend to keep trying. As for your quilt as you go--I haven't had much time to invest in sitting & stitching at the machine either. I guess at this point I'm doing more planning in my head than actual stitching. I guess this is my recharge time until I decide what I'm doing next--I still have some projects in all stages of development so it's not like I have to start from scratch. Sounds like your shoofly pattern could go fairly quickly for you. Yes, I would like to see pics if possible! Enjoyed hearing from you-until next time-Happy Quilting!
haven't left a message lately --seems I'm always "on the run"--haven't been able to get to my quilting either. Been trying to get some bicycling exercise in since we've been having beautiful weather with an occasional rain storm-which means gardening time too. I bet even though you haven't been in class you are still run off your feet too. Happy Quilting!-when we get to it!
I am blessed with two sisters (who don't quilt) My quilting buddy was my mother who passed away about four years ago. Now I pretty much do things on my own, except for my daughter--I bounce ideas off her all the time. I think I should have someone new & I'm glad that someone seems to be You! I'm sure you are plenty busy, so I'll let you get on with it, just wanted you to know I appreciate your gesture!
Hi Maimie-haven't heard from you lately-are you getting into the quilting thing or have other things interfered? I did look at my scraps from the 4 pc placemats I posted & realized that I had more than plenty pieces to make a coaster set to match. I am also a member of the EPP group here at Connecting Threads, so I'm using up some scraps there too.
Good Morning- I woke up to birds singing-great way to wake up!
LOL - you've got me laughing-About 6 months ago I promised myself I would get some of the UFO's finished that I have sitting around the house. (I'm still not done)
As for your log cabin, at first they are very confusing-at least it was for me-until I just kept the instructionsheet closeat hand. Now I really enjoy them, but you still need to keep the iinstructions close! Let me know if I can help long distance.
Not dumb at all. If nothing else it will get ideas flowing (pssst-that how most of us got our stash going, it's addictive)-besides, we all start someplace. Thank you for your comment on my quilt & placements! BTW Hope your last class went well & you are on your way to bigger & brighter things!
