Have ordered from Connecting Threads for years and am so happy with the quality of their quilting fabric - Love the essential thread and the wide variety of colors. I have a long arm but she has not taught me everything she knows by a long shot. I will keep trying! Right now we have too much snow and it is too cold but winter in the Methow is to be expected even if not welcomed!

My pets are awesome!
We now have two little kittens - Sox and Apri - they are both females and litter mates. They supposedly are Rag Doll/Siamese cross - Sox has the dark ears and tail and 4 white feet, thus the name Sox. Apri is mostly white with apricot coloring on her ears, tail and you can see some on her body. i guess they can change colors for a year or more. They are so much fun to just sit and watch their antics!
Hello Marge, thank you for the compliments on my quilts....I really like learning all the different things to do (it seems to be endless). Keeping up with some of the ladies on this site is crazy, it is amazing what they do!
Thank you for your offer! My serger is a Simplicity SL 350 and I believe it must be old because it came with an instructional video on VHS tape! I do have a booklet though that shows four spools of thread. But it also has a chart in the back indicating stitch types: 2-needle, 4-thread; 1-needle; 3-thread; and it also shows a two-thread serging that says it's known as a flatlock seam. So I guess it does a lot! I just have to get into it and play with it one of these days. If you're sure you won't be needing your thread, I'd be happy to reimburse you the postage to send it to me. I'm in New York State.
Hi Marge, yes I received it. I had written back a short note but now it's not to be found. Have been having problems with losing posts lately. Yesterday I had posted to a couple sites and today they're not showing. I think it may be when I use my phone to post instead of tablet or computer. Will write you again either tonight or tomorrow. Have our own 'air show' out the living room window. The eagles, osprey and perrigrin falcons are soaring on the currents today. With the sun out it's quite a sight to watch. Such magnificient birds.
Hi Marge, yes I lived in Ashland. Small world. Moved back north in the 70's as far as Portland then up to the Puget Sound area late 70's. Have been in the North Cascades for 30 years now (or immediate area) and love it. Originally from the White Pass area. But speaking of Southern Oregon, I would say that I miss that area the most. The weather was so agreeable year around, beautiful country, wonderful friends, etc. etc. But we go where the Lord leads and leave the details in His hands. I see that you worked for the FS. Was that in So. Ore. or elsewhere? I am amazed at the people we meet through the internet. Chances are our paths may have crossed at some point in the past. The expression of 5 degrees of separation is so true. Did you know that Froggie used to live in Washington as well? She is familiar with places we talk about in the groups. Thought I would give you the details here rather than on the Little site. Would be great to meet you at some point. Just a bit further east is Rita. What fun for the three of us to get together. But that would depend on weather and health issues. At least for me and from what you've said sounds like you pretty much are at home now as well. I have problems sitting and riding for extended times. Summer is better for me than the wet, cold winter months. Will be in touch. Also am sending you a friend request. That way we can send private messages to each other as well. Catch you later,
Yes. We live a mile from Albee. Family ranch. Love it Been here for 7 years. Love the fall and winter because I get to quilt more LOL. Thank you for the compliment on my quilts. I am sort of a newbe only quilting since 2006. And love it. Also quilt friends quilts and love that aspect of quilting also. Do you live near Leavenworth? Know that you have had horrible fires this summer. We are always on the look out after a thunder storm. This year it is so dry.
Hi Marge, Just read your reply to ranchmom. She is a friend on QWU. I noticed you lived in Ukiah and worked at the FS. Interesting. I was born in LaGrande and grew up in Eastern Oregon. Lived in Portland and retired on the family ranch North of Ukiah. Love to quilt. Just got an HQ16 and am trying to learn how to use her. We have a quilting group that sews every Sat and sometimes on Wednesdays. Do lots of projects and donate lots of quilts. Seems like it is our passion. Looking forward to hearing from you. K.
Hi Marge I live in the very southeastern corner on the Owyhee River, almost exactly half way between the Idaho and Nevada border. I grew up in Olympia, graduated from Tumwater High most of my family still lives in the Olympia area. I have a brother in Ellensburg. I had an aunt and uncle that lived in Twisp years ago not sure what year they moved to Okanogan but it had to have been in the early sixties. I miss the green of the coast but not the people, I love living on the ranch and it was a great place to raise my family.
Love the map quilt! Where in the world did you find a pattern like that? I live in a very small town in north central Texas. I have ordered from Con. threads and never been disappointed. Catch ya another time. Jackie
