Margie, I am not really that fast. When I see what some of the girls have accomplished I am rather slow. That is okay though as I enjoy what I do. Many of them machine quilt and I love sitting and hand quilting so that is just my thing. In fact I have just gotten into English Paper Piecing and I just love that. The girls in my group here think I am right out of my tree. (ha) Maybe I am but I am enjoying it so who cares, eh? Yes we have been out once to Lake Louise and it is beauiful. It is like a lake that is like a mirror sitting in the middle of no where and all these mountains around it. Beautiful and definitely God's handiwork. The drive along the Northshore of Lake Superior is beautiful too. I love it up here in the wilderness. Have a great day!
I have never been south of N.O. and really don't know much about N.O. as far as that goes. I am more or less a country girl, living just outside B.R. all my life. I did live in B.R. for short periods when I first got married(45 years ago), but I didn't like it and we moved back to the country. Hubby always wanted to be in town and I didn't. We moved quite a bit in our early years and then we found the house just out of D.S. and it had 3 acres and a barn. Go figure, He loved it and we stayed from '72 'til '95. I have 5 brothers and 5 sisters living and we are close. Loads of nieces and nephews and even greats by the bus loads.
I went to school with a guy that was missionary in Kenya until his health started to fail him. He is in Alexandria now, close to his in-laws. His name is Herbert Cady and his wife is Becky. His parents and sisters were all members at the church where we are members.
Well, I am doing it again, being long winded......Chat later and thanks for sharing..........
Glad you had a good day, Margie. You are right the Lord is good to us. We have so much to thank Him for. Hope you have a blessed Lord's Day as well. Hugs from Canada. A real Grandma, down on the floor with baby. She is some cute and l love the baby quilt.
Margie, What part of La. are you from? I was born and raised here in the capital city area, slthough I lived just out of Denham Springs for over 20 years.
