Hi Margie, thanks for adding me to your friends list. Did I undertstand correctly, you're doing transcriptio from home? I love being able to work from home. I lived in Michigan for 20+ year, first in Ypsi and then in Milan, until I moved back home to Iowa. Not sure exactly where Brooklyn is, though.
Hi... thanks for adding me as a friend. No, I don't have anything in the Marshall show, but will have several quilts in our guild's own show here in Charlotte the week before. Come on over and see what we've done... it's next Saturday from 10-4 at the Charlotte Library on Bostwick.
Hi, Margie. The JoAnn Superstore is on Carpenter Rd in Ypsi. It's in a shopping center with a Target, and there's a Meijer next door to Target. Nice to know there are a few of us quilters in this area .
Margie: Thanks for the nice words. We do miss our little Miller but the truth is I know he is better off were he is. He had a stroke or something when he had his teeth cleaned last year. WE tried really hard (over a year) to live with him the way he was and it was just too awful. He didn't have control of himself and messed all the time. Between shampooing carpets, mopping, washing bedding and hime we were wore out. I went the 2 bissel carpet cleaners. Anyway, he was cremated and now we have him at home with us and are able to say nice words to him. Thanks for your comments. I'm down from 4 dogs to 2 and it's kinda nice. Have a great Sunday and stay warm. I assume your state is as cold if not colder than we are. Our high today is going to be 23 degrees. Yuk? or let's make it a sewing day.
Thank you Margie...I don't know what it is but I love chickens and ths pattern I was looking for had the cuties group of chickens with Italian names...someone read my plea for help to finally finish this quilt I started years ago...and send me the pattern ...Tuscany Chickens.
Rose who live in Eastern Pa but who is originally from Brooklyn NY
I sent a message to you regarding the disappearing 9-patch. By the way, it's nice to have contact with someone related to a cath lab. I spent my years as a CV tech in a primary care physician's office. In most cases, my boss let his staff determine the need for an ECG, or blood work, or ABI's and pulmonary function tests; prior to him actually seeing the patient. This way, he'd have all the results in front of him when conducting the patient visit. I'm still very close to the doctor's family. They do pharmecutical studies now in the office where we once practiced. Because I live locally in reference to my previous employer, every so often I run into the patients. I miss them so much ... not all of them, but most of them. I'm sure you can appreciate what I mean by that. I will say this, because of my husband's health conditions, and my own ... I do manage to see most of the specialists that I use to refer to when I was working. They are now mine and my husbands' doctors. So, we have a fairly close relationship with them as well.
Well, here I sit in my pj's chatting with all of you, and listening to the senate confirmation hearings on the news. I love politics. I really should be in my sewing room; so I'll sign off for now ... Keep warm!
Thanks for the prayers, Margie. Tony has surgery in the morning. I have 4 little ones here tonight. Soon it will be bedtime. Grandpa is upstairs now explaining sleeping arrangements to them. Grandpa is a funny man. We have been married for almost 43 years. Can't hardly remember a time without him even though we did not meet until after high school. But he thinks he can settle disputes so easily. At least he is trying. Have to give him lots of credit. Hope sleeping goes well tonight. Happy Quilting
I'm near 12 and 52, I can see the lights from the car dealerships instead of the northern lights..lol. I am not sure the snow is going to stop ever today! DH has done the driveway three times already. We made a trip to Adrian for lunch, it wasn't bad since we have 4-wheel drive. Now, I'm settling in with a cup of tea and going to tackle a new technique "pieced applique". The teacher, Penny Haran, will be at the Quilt Patch on Feb. 7th and I've already signed up for the class. I'm not sure what the 'southern stars' are. I'm new to this group and I've been in Columbus for the past three days helping adult kids.
