Thank you so much for the Birthday wish. It was great to open my email the very first thing in the morning and get a birthday wish from a fellow quilter. I love your page. The photos are wonderful and the quilts are just beautiful. I hope to become as good as you eventually. I am working on my fifth quilt now and so far I have done pretty good. I hope to learn applique in the future, but now I'm still working on beginner techniques. Thank you again.

Hi Margo! I'm sorry to have taken so long to answer your note. I had computer problems, which my live-in 23 year old nephew solved in 3 seconds! He's handy to have around. I should ask him how to put pictures on the web. I make every kind of quilt(except art quilts so far) I' haven't done too much aplique yet. I especially like bright colors, and bright colors with black. I have done a lot of miniis which were hand quilted. I love hand quilting, though it turns my fingers into mincemeat. Do you hand quilt, and if so, do you use any kinds of tools or thimbles? I mostly hand quilt minis or small quilts with a lap hoop. Write and tell me about youyr self and your favotes. Jeannette

Thank you for the birthday wishes, Margo. I did have a great day...didn't get much sewing done, but I had a good time with friends! I had birthday wishes from several others in this community and that's what has gotten me back here! I can't believe how long I've been away. I have kept up with my own blog on blogspot.com, though. Only so much time I want to spend on the computer...I'd rather be sewing! Have a wonderful day today...hope it it sunny in Maine! Carol :)

Margo, I had a good birthday. Worked on sewing projects for holiday boutiques most of the day, then my husband took me out to the Orange Hill Restaurant in Orange, CA. It is on a enough of a hill to give a spectacular view of the area to the west, and when there is no fog, we can see clear to Catalina Island, and some of the other Channel Islands. The food there is wonderful!

Thank you for the BD wishes! Would love to be in Maine for the fall color. We once camped at Penobscot Bay, and enjoyed that immensely. Will be moving back East in a year or two; retiring to PA where our two daughters live. Son is in VA. Don't want to wait until the 8 grandchildren are all grown up to get there! Alice Whitney, Tustin, CA.
(We're only about 12 miles from Disneyland.)
