I recently retired from the State of Tennessee, which gives me more time to spend on Project Linus (I am the coordinator for the Nashville chapter.) I have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren, 2 grandchildren through marriage and through them have 6 great-grandchildren.

I wanted to take a picture of this quilt made with Project Linus fabrics. My DGD, Elizabeth, had to pose with it. The quilt is made using the Warm Wishes pattern. I just love the new PL fabrics. They truly express the mission of PL.
Kit, thanks for the info on the little bags, They are so cute. I did not know about the Expo, what was it? Glad you made money for PL, that is awesome. Kit are you able to buy fabric from Choice Fabrics in Springfield? That should save you a lot of money for what you do. Hope you have been enjoying this beautiful Tenn weather we have been having. My DH went to Dale Hollow this weekend with our sons to fish. I and my two poodles have had the house to ourselves. I am loving it. Don't like it if he is gone a long time but a couple of days is always nice, no tv, quiet, I managed to get quite a bit done today and then went to a wedding this afternoon. I'm off to bed, goodnight!!
Thanks for letting me know where to find the gift bags. I went to the Moda site and found them and bookmarked them to my Favorites so I can go back and look it over when I have more time. They are sure cute, and I will be anxious to make some.
Hi Kit - send me an email and I will respond with my snail mail address - you send me a SASE and I'll send you my free pattern for the chickens!! You will probably need to add me as a friend in order to send me a message - I'll be looking for it!
Hi,
Thanks for the welcome to gifty galore. I don't get into the Nashville area very often. I live just outside of Camden, small town about 100 miles west of Nashville. Project Linus is a good organization. I have donated to them in the past. I try to keep most of my donations local, as this is a very depressed area and there is so many in need. Liz
Hi, Marguerite -
I saw your name and just had to comment. I married a Roskamp (though just with 1 'S'). I've never met any other Roskamps besides his family (mostly in grand Rapids, MI). Also, my paternal grandmother is named Marguerite!

Thanks marquerite for the comment on my quilts. I use CT thread for piecing, and like Superior's So Fine for quilting, it's strong and doesn't get or leave lint behind. I have gotten my new longarm set up yesterday and now I can't wait to put some fabric on it and play, play, play. Happy Quilting!
I have tried twice to follow the directions to accept you as a friend, and it keeps flipping me back to the title page. I will keep trying, but am leaving for Texas tomorrow, so it may take me some time. But I do want you as one of my quilting friends.
Thanks for the answer about the price on the pillowcases. Most of the material will come from my stash and i'm glad to get rid of it. The bazaar is in the first week in Dec. We've also thought about aprons and tote bags, but they will take longer to make. And I am the only one in the group who does much sewing. We are just getting our group started and have 5 to 6 who come to the meetings, but have over 20 names on the list. Good luck at your bazaar.
There were 2 quilts made with hankies. One where they were folded to look like buterflies, and one where the skirts of the girls were hankies.
When I read your comment on the main page you mentioned that you had made pillowcases to be sold at your church bazaar. Our local fibromyalgia group has a member whose church is having a bazaar and has offered us a table for items to sell. I am thinking of making pillowcases and wonder what price you have decided to put on them? I have never made them, but looks like they would be a fast and easy item to make.
