Mari!!! I'm so glad to find you on here!  Did you design the recent Checkerboard Stars Quilt for CT that was featured?  I soooooo wanted to order this kit but 4 days after my catalog arrived, it was out of stock.  I asked if the pattern would be available and was told probably not. :(  I'm devastated!! Well, not like end of the world devastated but, you know. I had finally found the quilt of all quilts (in my opinion!) and wanted to make this for my bedroom.  I've been looking for 2 years for a pattern and fabrics to make just the right quilt for my room, and alas! It was here....for like 30 sec! :)  While I'm glad this pattern went over so well, I'm sad that it disappeared so fast!  Any chance that even if I cannot get the kit, you will post the pattern?  Please?  Pretty please????  :*)  I promise chocolate! :) LOL!!!

Thank you for your time and no matter what, your design was fantastic!!

Thanks for the welcome, Mari.  My friend, Barb (Barbara S./IL) told me last week about this group and after seeing the barn she made I decided that I really wanted to make one myself.  Everything is ordere and I'll start trying to catch up as soon as the mailman brings them to my door.  My mailperson (I live in the country) is a quilter and when she sees a package that might be quilt related she will drive right up to my door to deliver it personally in the hopes that I will open it right then and share it with her.

Hi Mari-You're right this is a fun & cute pattern-I've read all the way through and I have my materials, but now I've run short of time.  I am enjoying all the comments and finally seeing Lou Ann's first block.  Since I can't really contribute I'm just staying mum for the time being & I'll just jump in when my life slows down!  Thank you for offering it to us as a quilt along!!
