Hi My Dear friends,
It's been awhile since I've been able to post a blog. We have had alot going on the last 2 mos. Between all of us getting sick, taking the dogs to the vet for their check ups, and two deaths within a week of each other I've been kind of busy and down. But inbetween I've been able to get some quilting accomplished.
I'll be posting another blog either today (I hope) or tomorrow with new gadgets that I've found (some of you may already be using them), quilts…

Some people say quilting is work.--I say Quilting is a Labor of love.
Some people say that quilting is for old ladies.-- I say I…

Hi Ladies & Gents,
I am making a quilt that I want to add beads, sequines and more than likely use some embrodery thread to enhance the main part of my quilt. This is all new to me and I have NO idea what I'm doing or how to do it. I don't know if I add all that once the quilt is sandwiched and quilted or do I do it all before I quilt the top. Any and I mean any help would be much appreciated!! I do not want it like a crazy quilt. I just want to add to the finished…

Yep it's been awhile since I wrote a blog. The months before Christmas were just crazy to say the least! But we got through them and had a wonderful Christmas, as I hope all of you did! As usual I have several new quilting tools, items, books and new techniques that I will be sharing my opinion of over the next couple of months. If you haven't noticed I just uploaded photos of my Quilting Studio. I still have fabric to put on bolts, oh that reminds me I need to have my DH make me more…

I guess you can call this blog a continuation of my blog "Little things that I had forgotten and new ones I've learned". I'm not writing these thinking I know everything because I don't. I'm writing them because I love to help others and share what I've learned. I'm going to be brand naming some thread and tools and I…

It's been awhile since I wrote a blog on QWS and figured it's about time I do. I've been quilting for many years and have taken many classes. I've also thought that I new everything and there wasn't a pattern out there that I couldn't make if I put my mind to it. Well over the last two months I've taken two quilt classes at the local quilt shop. The first one was a Beginner class (yes I said Beginner) and the second…

I had to brag a little, hope you ladies don't mind. Alexa (my daughter) is trying out for Cenla Idol on July 30th. IF and that's a big IF (we're not getting our hopes up just yet) she wins Cenla Idol she will then go on to American Idol. This has been something she has talked about since American Idol became so famous. She said she's got to try or she'll never know and she needs to try before she signs on the dotted line to join the marines. So if you ladies could keep her in your thoughts…

Hi Maria, I just wanted to let you know that Amy is taking sign-ups for the Spring Swap for yardages. Check out the group for "Country Junk'tion's Fabric Swap. If you have trouble finding the group page you can look on my page and it is the first one on my list of groups that I belong to.
Thanks for the comment about my quilts. What kind of pins do you use? I am going to order me some of those and get me some of the thread you mentioned as well.
Well it took him 5 yrs to make it but I guess I am very lucky that he finally did it. Between the garden and going up north and working seems like we are never home. And then its been so hot that all we want to do in the evenings is sit in the A/C until around 8 and then water the garden and go to bed. What does your husband do? If he is gone alot then I bet you have tons of time to sew. I hope that you have a good weekend.. we are off to Mt. Pleasant to do some fishing! Hope its not roasting hot this weekend.
I love the pics of your quilts. You do beautiful work! :> )
