I saw this really fun quilt in a Missoula hotel. I am going to try and do something like it. I put the pic up on my page. Look it is framed with a window frame. How cool is that? Can't wait to get back and see everyone again. I am still waiting on your answer for dinner on the 12 ? ? ?
A snow monkey!? (sorry i'm facinated by Kathy's post, please thank her for leading me through the airports in Tokyo when I took my brief unsuccessful trip back to the states).
Thank you for sending me this site again! haha I bookmarked it this time. I'm so frazzled from the move.
In that magazine I won from Louise they had a quilt called "something blue" for a wedding gift. It was all hearts and stuff. Not my style but I liked the idea so I'm doing an all blue throw, monocromatic in squares :) I do love my squares : P It helped me clean out most of my blues before the move and I should have the top completed by the 10th when we pack out (then what will I do with myself?)
Sorry I'm so crazy! I miss you!
Marianne, If you did not get my number is is 696-0075. I hope you are enjoying the summer. Did you hear that they have spotted a Snow Monkey on base. CE saw it and the security camera's on security hill saw it too. I also heard from Heather Appel that the weather has been rainy most of the summer. chat with you later!
Yes Marianne it is the one that you weave I have made them doing it is squares also. I started out not using any batting in the middle and they are nice, but with the batting inside, it makes them just a bit more "soakable" (is that a word), do you know what I mean? I have made several and intend to make some more and use them as gifts, etc. If I ever get enough items made to sell at a craft show that will be my next step.........
Enjoy the day!
marianne-- I went to Marchae's last night for Melissa's gotcha day and guess what ?? I did not have a problem getting out !!! hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm makes me wonder if it was the person in front of me last time..lol Any way I am getting to the states on the 5th. We had a few nice days but back to rainy, foggy, wet, and cold. I am ready for some hot DRY weather. Let me know if you come to town and we can meet for lunch or coffee.
marianne,
After you left the machine broke. I could not get out nor could anyone else. lol It was raining so bad that the machine would not work and they could not open the gate. Finally they got someone there with a key that could unlock the gate and lift it open. That was just too funny. But I did have a good time and the food was really great. Still thinking about how good the food was. I can't decide what fabric to use for the coaster so I will probably wait until I get back this fall. Have a happy rainy sewing day.
Kathy
