I am a widow, recently retired, but working part-time. I have been quilting about 15 years and have ordered the Viking/Huscavarna quilting machine with QBot computer system, which will be delivered soon. I love traditional piecing and only recently have been able to give in to the scrappy look. I still try to be too controlling. But I am getting better. I have a small group who meets at my house on Wednesday.

Did you ever live in the Rochester, NY area? I worked with a gal by the name of Marilee, and it's not a usual name, so you made me think of her. We worked together in childcare many, many years ago. Just wondering!?!?
Nope I don't know her. I would love to go on another retreat...the Super 8 would be okay and I'm sure we could come up with several ideas to have food delivered so we can sew non-stop. Mom and I went to Vancouver to meet with Peggy Harmon from Wamic...not sure if you know her...anyway she gave me two big bags of wool strips so I can make a rug...someday. We stopped on the way home and ate with my Mom's cousin and his daughter. Nice day. Even Gracie behaved. She has gotten very shy around men...any men...sometimes even Poppa. We need to plan a day to meet at a quilt shop and have lunch...you know when you aren't working between your jobs!
I was bouncing around on this site found your page. I hope we can keep in contact. Who is the lady in Longview...maybe I know her? You will have fun with your new machine...just need to practice, practice, practice!!!!
