Hi Everyone - The end of 2014, and most of 2015 was spent moving from NY to NJ. I vow never to make a move again. I did manage to squeek out during this year my latest work. The Minotaur, another addition to my mythology series. I am now working on Hippolyte Hunting. This is very much in its early stages.
Sorry I have been so 'absent' from the group. I was truly overwhelmed by the move. I still can't find half my stuff!
Perseus Saving Andromeda is finally starting to make the rounds. It is now at Road to California Quilter's Conference and Showcase, where it won Best Large Quilt. The quilt sat at home this whole past Fall, because I was not quite up to par physically.
I have started holding classes at the Academy of Quilting.com (AOQ} I have added instructional videos. This has been a whole new ballgame for me. I have no one to take the video, so I have been both the cameraman and the subject. I then edit out the raw parts so it looks OK. You can see one I did on YouTube, either under Marilyn Belford, or Academy of Quilting. They posted it. There is also another video called Progression of Fabric Application somewhere way down on AOQ'a Timeline, or way down on my Timeline.
Hi Marilyn, I received your lovely thank you card today. If you do make a trip to Florida this winter I would love to meet you!. I have met with Ally twice and met with Charlotte at the Lancaster AQS show last year. It was so much fun. Keep me posted and we'll see if we can make plans. Thanks again.
After a miserable winter with the Shingles (which can knock you for a loop) I finally managed to finish "Perseus Saving Andromeda". It is posted up above in my slideshow. It feels so good to take it down off my work wall!! However, I DID enjoy working on it, especially the dragon. He was such fun!!
