Thanks for the note, Marilyn. Has been an interesting time of late. I do miss you all and I will be back. Things are starting to settle down a bit here.
As for the heat, it's been so much warmer than we even get in the summer. Here on the island it's rarely out of the 70's, so for us it's been hot and humid. We start, the day with fog then up close to 90 with 100% humidity. Have been hiding in the basement. We are back to more of a normal weather pattern today and suppose to last for a while.
Take care, and again thanks for the note. Hugs to you.
Yes. It was for two hearing aids. Oops. I meant less than $2500. Oh, wait. Now I'm not sure what I paid. No where near the $10,000 I expected though. And they'll probably be different prices in different parts of the country anyway. And the sooner the better with the cataract surgery, says I who put it off until I was nearly blind.
Good Morning, Marilyn. Yup, I got my hearing aids at CostCo. Top of their line, less than $2000. Not all CostCos have hearing aid centers. I had to call ahead and make an appointment for a free hearing test. No high pressure sales pitch. It's worth it just to talk to them. The young woman who tested me had me try on their test model and walk around with them in while I shopped. I couldn't believe the clarity of sound. I expected it to be difficult to get used to wearing them but, except for a slight itchy feeling once in a while I had no problem. Truth, though, is I sometimes miss the quiet so I don't always wear them. Give them a call and go talk to them. Oh, and if you're a premium member (or something like that) you get some money back. Also, their pharmacy is the cheapest outside Canada, even the co-pays if you have insurance are a fraction of other pharmacies. And I've gotten eyeglasses there, and my friend gets her disposable contact lenses there too. To say nothing about their pesto and cheese and salamis. Let me know what happens.
Thank you for your kind comment on my crazy quilt! Working on it really helped me as I was coming to terms with the loss of my mother as I knew her. I'm so glad you like it. The quilt is about 27" square with blocks 8" square.
hi marilym, i love your work, especially the...give god the pieces....can you tell me where you got it from, i would like to do it for a friend who is in need at the moment, this could be what she needs to look at, thanks.
