About Me
Just over 10 years ago I learned to do crazy quilting and hand embellishing the blocks. I have made many many crazy quilting projects over the years. After finally completing my own crazy quilt that I had been working on for so many years, I wanted to do more quilts that would not take so long to do and began piecing normal quilts or as we crazy quilter's call them........the Sane quilts. Now I'm addicted! About 3 years ago I learned to do hand quilting and now am about to start learning to free motion machine embroidery on my Janome Memory Craft 6600. I also love to do hand embroidery and silk ribbon embroidery. Since I was 12 years old I have always been doing some type of needlework and am self taught.
I have been married for 31 years, 2 grown children. Now at home its just my husband and I our two dachshunds, Ginger and Oscar. I am lucky to have my own sewing room and love to spend as much time as I can there.
I also love to watch old movies and especially from the 20's, 30's and 40's. I especially love to watch all the old Bette Davis movies, read all I can about her and early hollywood.
I hope to meet new friends here of which I can share what I know and learn as much as I can from others.

Just visited your page again today and reviewed your photos which have given me the inspiration to photograph my work and place on my website in the next few days. I still greatly admire your work, especially the crazy quilt work. That is an area that I have not yet attempted but would like to some day. Plan to post a few pictures and a blog on my website soon. Until later, Kathleen

OMG, 107 degrees! It's hot here, but also we've had constant rain. The humidity has made me throw up my hands and just let my hair go wild (read: curly). I've been stitching down the binding on a queen sized quilt forever because I just can't stand having it "on me." Meanwhile, the rest of my projects and my mending are piling up. However, I'll be cranking out those crazy blocks come fall and thank you again for the great fabrics. You've clearly been collecting forever.

Mary, I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you. Between my volunteer work, power outages, and a crazy June, I'm slipping. I did receive your "surprise package" last week and was overwhelmed with your generous addition to my newest stash. I have so many projects going and don't sew as much in the summer, but I will be going "crazy" as soon as I'm able. Again, many thanks. I look forward to seeing your latest projects. I've told everyone who'll listen about your gorgeous crazy baby book.
