Jean Luc Francois (but you may call him Choux Choux) my five month old papillon. He has one blue eye so I like to think of him as my Siberian butterfly.

Thanks for the city quilting info. Will definitely check them out. Have non-quilting girlfriend who is always saying we should go in and walk around the city. Just may take her walking around the quilt shops. LOL Yes,I do remember the big dept. stores selling fabric. Seem pretty soon we'll be talking about "Remember when Walmart sold fabric?" since hey are now discontinuing it. I know there's always mail order but isn't it so much nicer to actually feel the fabric? I think so. Have a great day. I'm sure we'll talk again
Hey MaryAgnes, just want to say hi. We're "kind'a" neighbors, you in NYC and me in Suffolk County. When it comes to quilting I have a hard time finding people with the same interest out here. And definitely not too many quilt shops. But, still enjoy quilting. Son lives in Manhattan, where can I fabric shop when I visit him?
MaryAgnes, you asked if I made the baskets that I have pictures of and the answer is yes I did. I just love basket weaving. I am just into too much that I really enjoy that I don't have time to keep up with everything.
just found your reply. what ails me is not fixable by drs or pills. i dont do pills anyhow. there is only one cure, that is the final cure and i have to wait for that to come when it comes. it was the final cure for someone i love dearly only 4 months ago today and i will never stop missing him or wanting him to come home. i still dont understand why he did what he did, why he left his brother and sister to carry on life without him around. nope, no cure for what ails me.
Hi Mary, For the Shop Hop, we had to buy a "passport' $5, which entitles you to prizes and a discount at each store.
I know what you mean about meetings, I missed at least half of the Brooklyn Guild meetings this year because of other commitments. Small world, as I brought my machines at Sew Right too. I guess all the NYC quilters go to the same places.
Hi Mary, About the Shop Hop. It takes place the weekend of July 10th,11th and 12th. The shops involved are "Pieceful Quilting" in Riverhead and In Northport, "Sew What's New" in East islip, "Sentimental Stitches" in Cold Spring Harbor, "The Quilting Bug " in Massapequa and "Patchworks' on Main St. in Sayville. Riverhead is pretty close to The Hamptons if your out that way. Do you go to"City Quilter"in Manhattan? I belong to a guild in Brooklyn that's subway friendly, [ f train] if you ever feel the need to join a group.
