As many of you know, my daughter Kristine has Cystic Fibrosis. I am raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help with important research for assisting those with CF to live longer healthier lives. If you don't know about CF, please at least take a look at the site to get information on it. Knowledge is power. CF is the most commonly inherited disease. If you can and you want to help feel free to donate. Please don't feel obligated as just having more people aware is…

I had to post some pics of my DD in Cinderella. They did one show on Friday and then three shows yesterday. She also did her festival piece from Atlanta. I am a bit proud of my DD. She is so talented and beautiful. She works so hard at all she does. She was the Green wicked step sister and she really stole the show with her facial expressions. …

I finally finished. I made this quilt for my sister who is a Garfield nut. She can draw Garfield as well as Jim Davis, the creator of the character. Anyway growing up I loved Odie. She tortured me like Garfield tortured Odie... Hence the name of the quilt Odie's twisted sister. :-) The corner stones are Garfield and Odie together. …

You lost your animal, that is sad.. I lost a ktn a dear friend comforted me saying, all the days of care you given the animal it lived quality life for as long it could.
Love your Xmas ornaments, I also love making them do you sell them? One year made them, placed 6 per box, and sold as a set. But your s have sparkle which are much nicer.
Thanks for liking the Auburn quilt! I live in Waynesboro MS. I am doing college quilts for a fund raiser.
Michelle, I am so sorry your poor little dog wasn't able to make it through his sickness. I know that you really love your pets and they are truly members of your family. I feel the same way about my dogs. I am sure your heart feels truly broken. Take care of yourself and know I will be sending healing thoughts your way.
Hello, M! I'm here....trying to decide which batiks to use in my next pp workshop!
Hi Michelle! I haven't had a chance to get to those blocks to finish them....but it's next on my list of "stuff to do"! I must finish the one I am doing for my elder daughter's graduation so I can get it off to the LAQ! I will definitely let you see the finished SS quilt! I absolutely love the fabrics/colors so no worry about that!
Hi Michelle, sorry it took me so long to respond about the Nutcracker tree skirt, but I didn't know you left me a message. Thank you for your kind words...it was fun to make. I didn't use a pattern (except for the tree quilt pattern at the center. I spent hours on the net (Google Images) searching for photos of the people in the cast. Then I downloaded them. I also rented the Royal London Ballet Company's CD - I liked the one with Nureyev, but when he dances the whole shoe revolves around him and that changes the story. I even froze the DVD at points to photograph the characters (Uncle Droselmeyer was my best shot and I used that). I also printed the figures (or parts of them) for the faces & arms, etc. - no way I could draw (or quilt) any of that. I used several methods of attaching the embellishments - you'll have to decide which are best for you. My Grand Niece & Niece loved it which was the entire goal. I hope this helps - I do work 1 full & 1 part time job, so it took me about 3 months to complete. I hope this helps....
Hi sweetie! I just wanted to let you know I got the gold fabric! I will be sending you a little something soon! xoxox
I got the paisley fabric but can't find the gold. That quilt shop was out of it...do you have a strip of it left or 4 squares? Sorry I keep bothering you about it again and again but I would really like to make another snowball block....3 would be better but I would be happy with one. I would be happy to pay you for the fabric and s/h...
Nameer is doing really well. He actually took a nap in his own bed today without much of a fuss....so that is really something! We will be driving to Houston tomorrow to take his grandfather to his return flight back home. We will go to the big mall there called The Galleria, stay the night in a nice hotel, then in the morning go to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to see the Butterfly place...he seems pretty excited about that!
Hi Michelle! Thank you again for the beautiful SSA blocks! Do you still have any of the fabric? I was searching for it online but couldn't find any of it. If you could spare enough to make a snowball block or three, I would be so gratefu and would be happy to reimburse you for itl! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! xoxox
