Hello Everyone!

Look at my Palm trees; it sure does not look like fall here. Yet it is in the air... and we are all ready to celebrate a wonderful Thanksgiving... with our family members, friends, and other close ones.

The sound of thunder and hard rain.....and quilting!

Hello!

How is everyone doing on this wonderful Sunday? Mine has been just lovely……I had done all of my chores this morning so I could get to the sewing room. I was sitting there just as happy as one can be…..when ya can quilt.
Then rolled in another one of our storms…just like clock work for the entire month. Each and every single day bad storms. I love the rain…it is the storm that knocks off your electricity, though….which had me upset, and sometimes mad…As I was watching a good movie. But to… Continue

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a great day - a great week, in fact. I live in North Dakota - and we have been having WONDERFUL weather here. Of course, next week the temp will drop down. Last year at this time, we had lots of snow and have gone through a blizzard or two.

Have a great Thanksgiving Day.

Hi Morgan, thanks for all your prayers of support. Please keep praying for a quick recovery for him as he is in so much pain. I could not use the laptop in the hospital and never would have had the time to use it anyway. Then at our friends, he had the wireless password protected. He offered to set the laptop up for me when he got home from Minneapolis but I told him not to worry about it. We got home yesterday and Brent was flown into the hospital here. Thanks again.

Hey Morgan,
Got your messages. I've been busy as well. I hope you are doing well today. I just read your post. I hope that you can spend a good holiday with your family. I don't blame you for wearing the masks etc. I have done some of that myself. Just so I don't pick up something to bring to him. Do like I have done. If someone ask if you are sick tell them no that they are more of a risk to you than you are to them. If they were in our shoes they would do the same thing. I know it's hard about the shopping thing. I t feels good to me too when I go out after being cooped up. But it breaks my heart sometimes that he's not able to go in. We are also adjusting to our lives with this. We've actually been doing isolation during the winter for several years now but this year has been the longest yet. This swine flu thing is a whole new ballgame to have to deal with. Usually I've been able to let my parents, brother and SIL come over if they aren't sick on Thanksgiving and Christmas but this year we can't risk that. I pray this swine flu doesn't plan on staying around every year. You definetly have a new friend here as we are both going through similar situations with acceptance of what we must do, but God will see us through. You have my support anytime you need it. I haven't met anyone yet that fully understands what its like. I'm also starting to decorate the tree, he wants it up to look at. What do you do during your time at home? What are some of the things you like? Tv shows etc? My prayers are with you and I'm fixing to check out the recipe!!! Hope to chat soon.
Take care!! Be blessed!!!!!

Hi Morgan - sorry for not answering before - this morning I started by you - every time I come in I have to leave shortly after .... - My DH was in the hospital for 2 weeks - and came out - with no change... go figure - now they want to try something else - she will only sleep for 3 4 or 5 hours a night... - and it means the same for me - but I need more... - see now she is about to come back from her activity - ... it doesn't leave me a lot - had to run some errands this morning - hope it is settling in for you - and that your new lawyer is helping to.... - I know it gets on the rest of the family when something happens.. they don't understand and they try to help but and..... plus the money issues.... - I think I can figure out what is going on... but like I always say - hang on babe and just take one day a t a time . take care - I will try to come back soon,

Hey Morgan, tks for the good wishes. We don't leave until mid-Dec but there is so much to check off the list before we go. Especially when it's before the holidays with gift for the grandkids to get etc... We plan onleaving around the 19th of Dec if the weather permits. I'll be keeping tabs while we are gone also, as long as we have wi-fi. Just purchased a 18.4 screen laptop so I can catch up with you guys while I'm gone. With the big fonts installed, I should be able to handle the reading for a bit on my lap. LOL I thank god for technology!

Hello Morgan,
I have seen your posts and page from the site. Linda is also one of my friends. My name is Sharon. Nice to meet you. I saw that you have an illness that doesn't allow you to go out much and just wanted you to know that I have a son (Danny) that is in the same situation. I know how hard it can be. He is also immune compromised. I also have to limit myself to the public because of him especially right now during flu season. Just want you to know you have a new friend here if you need one. Bless you!

Hi Morgan - Glad to be friends.......hope your day is wonderful and filled with joy! Your family photos are great....and the scenery is so nice. I was in Florida once in Kissimee (can't remember spelling) and of course we did all the Disney thing. It was fun. My son lived in Orlando for quite awhile because he worked for Disney.

Morgan that is great that your lawyers are going after the companies. The time it takes to live long enough to gather enough history and damage documentation to your life is what kills you. They have to do it that way, inorder to be armed with how the criminal act affected your life and darn near destroys everyone who loves you because they live it with you. And that is some of the most stressful times and hinders you getting anywhere emotionally and physically. I am lucky because I do still have the effects of my injury, but I won't let it show for fear of putting people off. I don'teven talk about it to family and friends now. Most the family already knows and I don't want to put people in the position that they have to feel sorry for me. I am fine as long as I don't dwell on what it took to get where I am now. My husband was not so supportive and that is part of why we aren't anylonger together. I can't do anything about that. So I put it out of my head. I can pray all I want for him, but he has to make the change in his heart.
My children are very proud of me, and I am very pleased I have the determination to continue on. You will be just like that too, cause you are right now contending with it, and still working at living and not at giving up. We do all go through the stages of anger, and denial. But the faster we get out of that the better we are at beating it. Your attorneys should have been getting you relief from the creditors and the medical suppliers all along. He is suppose to write letters to all your medical people and to anyone giving you treatment or therapy. It 's hard to know these things. I had to deal with it for 7 yrs, they couldn't label it. Then they were afraid to treat it. I was nearly crazy with depressing prognosis over and over. I got really angry at them and said they were making me worse not better. Thats when I started to really get Dr.'s attention. And when I got involved with my treatments and meds, thats when I started to get see a lite at the end of the tunnel. It took forever, I hated it, I could have just as easy turned over in bed and gave up. Thank God I didn't. Its like He was there telling me what to do, and to be able to do it. It made me reach out to Him more and more. So I know where you are and what you still have to do and get through. They will settle before it goes to court. They won't want publicity. They just want it to go away. They will try to say you didn't lose much living or ability. Many people live with oxygen everyday from smoking. It isn't a living unbearable. you have to think what you did before and show you did it, boating, fishing, swimming, anything, walking for an hour, and that you aren't doing any of those things now because of the lung capacity. Becareful, they will ask you things that will show that you still do most of what you did. You have to show where your damage is very detrimental to your prior lifestyle.

It is a whole different world for you now. Talk to your lawyers, tell them what has changed, even the slightest things are big things to you now. I was an avid down hill skier, I couldn't do that ever again. I couldn't work on a computer and that how I made a living. If the differnt treatments would have worked for me, I wouldn't have lost 12 yrs. I would have been recovering and not existing. So let your attorneys know what has changed. Even things in your private life are affected. Have you done a discertation with the other sides attorney's? They will film you while that is done. They try to catch messing up and they use it to ask you questions.
I am truly happy you are finally moving on it. Your attorneys should tell you all this. Ask them what to expect. I have to go, I promised mom I would be up tomorrow morn for her bath time, they give it to her, but she wants me to be there early tomorrow. Going to bed. Take care Morgan.
