Much progress has been made in quilting tutorials, tools, technology since I started 15+yrs ago.. So many, well skilled sewers. I sew clothing my 1st love, quilting is a precision challenge for me.. A real therapy in our long winters.

Thanks for making me your friend! My friends get a notice when my blog post comes out on Monday. If you aren't interested in my blog you can just delete it. However, I often show photos of the work of quilters in a couple of groups I'm in, so you might have a look. I would love to see what you're doing as well. Do you know how to post photos?

Quilting is fun, but it can become a real mess. Maybe I am just disorganized. I have been working at getting my scrapes under control. Made a few quilts tops, but have not had time to take pictures. I got a new sewing room last year about this time, but got sick and during the summer had my eyes worked on, then back to work sub-teaching. I am old enough now to retire and husband has been retired for three years. It is time to finish moving into the sewing room. My husband would also like me to help take care of our handicapped, 31 year old severe Autism daughter. Some days she really explores getting into stuff she should not, like medicine. We lock up everything we can.

How fun to have the teacher all to yourself!  I think I would enjoy a serger but have just never really got the itch,,, lol  we had a pretty good weekend, although my son told me that his father (my ex) is not doing so well and in the hospital.  I hope that you have a good week also.. :)  do you have an embroidery machine?

Wow, that sounds like some bag! No, I don't have a serger,, I haven't really felt the need to have one, I guess its just because I don't know all the wonderful things they can do.  I feel very lucky to have an embroidery machine, and i also feel bad cause I would like a better one.  Not that the one i have is bad or anything, just it only does designs 4x4 and I see all the things the newer ones can do,, guess i should practice being content with what i have... LOL  I hope that you have fun with your class.  :)
