There is a great shop called, "It's For Quilting, etc., LLC. 2252 New Milford School road. Rockford, Illinois 61109 . The selection is great and the staff are very friendly. They have a website /www.itsforquilting.com/. There are a couple of other quilt shops in Rockford, but my experience there was less than desired. hope this helps.
