quilting break

Posted on February 22, 2012 at 4:45am 6 Comments

I took a break from quilting and cleaned up/organized my sewing room.  Didn't realize some of the materials I had...now I'm making up for lost time using my stash (now that I can finally see what I have).  Its so much fun matching materials from my stash to make quilts.  I organized by colors, projects already matched up, novelty materials, flannels, etc.... WOW!  I'm really enjoying my sewing room now.  WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO DO THIS??????????????????????

Pam Bono

I just had a class with Pam Bono and it was fabulous! I've never had so much fun at a class and had everything go together so well. She's got it right with pieced quilting. I'll definately be making more of her patterns in the future.

I agree with you about EQ5. I always had to look up everything I tried to do on it. I'm hoping that EQ6 is more user friendly. I just bought a large external hard drive that I have saved all my embroidery designs on and was planning on setting up a folder for EQ6 designs also. Can't get to any of my EQ5 designs. Guess they're "gone with the wind"...lol

Hi Nancy, read your comment on my shelves and got tickled because I know I've got some 4" charm squares that I bought but cannot find them anywhere. I know one of these days they are going to turn up. I did find a lot of things when I unloaded for my shelves. Dale is going to build me another one and when I unload for that one maybe then I'll find them. It is a great feeling to get more organized. And like you said we find all the things we've forgotten about!! Have a great day!!

Thank you, I just pulled up your page and looked at your quilt, IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I love the binding too, it stands out!! I will have to send mine out to be quilted, I wish I had the resources to do it myself. Give yourself a big pat on the back from me and tell yourself "Well Done"" cause you did a great job. LUCKY HUSBAND!! Ya'll cuddle your little hearts out. There is not enough of that kind of love in the world. It is a blessing. Have a great day Nancy and again great job!! Linda
