Nancy, thank you for your message. I am sorry that your husband is ill. I can say that I was glad we had time to have some very meaningful conversations about my life and his and yet there was still so much I wanted to tell him. Treasure your time with him. If you would like to email me directly my email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I would really like to be friends. Sharon
Hi Ground walnut shells are used for pin cushions. They also keep the needles sharp. My friend got them at Petco . For some reason I thought that someone was looking for them. I thought it was you. Barbara Donaldson
Jennifer and I know each other before this joining this group. We both knit socks and quilt. That's how we got together. I like to do both. I would love to talk anything you want. or help. lol sorry if I can off a little strong.
Thanks Nancy. My machine doesn't stich well without thread unless I try to trick it due to it's sensor. I am goint to try stitching out the outline, backing up a color, stitching down the applique piece then trimming around it to the stitch line to see if that will work. Otherwise, I'm just going to continue the way I'm going now. I know it will take me a loong time, also.
Hi Nancy. The stabilizer if Floriani Heat N Sta Tearaway. You iron it on from the front and it really does keep the puckers away. I have used it on oxford shirts, suede like fabrics, quilter's cotton and even linen. It has worked great on all of them. Good luck!
Hi Nancy. Gilson is about 40 miles west of Peoria along I-74 (exit 54). Hope you are OK as I saw there was damage from a tornado in your area. Do you have any quilt shops near you? What are you working on now? I'm still anticipating binding my diamond log cabin table topper and looking fwd to doing the table topper with the group.
