Nell, thank you for concern about my sister-in-law. They did admit her to the hosp, eventually. Her Oxygen level had dropped, so we hope they will send her home on Sat with O2 supply. They should have done that the last time she was in there.
Nell, I just read your bio more closely and see that you are from Virginia. My husband has been in Wallops Island for work all week. He forgot to take his coat and he reported that its snowing there this morning!
Nell, your trip around the world quilt for your dad sounds neat. I hope to start the stars for the memory quilt this weekend (if house work doesn't get in the way - we are remodeling a bathroom and it still needs lots of work!). I will post some pictures as it begins to take shape. My sister is also planning to start the embroidery block soon.
Hi Nell, I have a dog Patches she is a mix of poodle and we think shitso. I have about a hundred birds on my deck in the mornings and enjoy that very much.I also have a friend Kathy who has several dogs, cats.We are in a farming community so there are alot of cows and horses around which was an adjustment as i had lived in the city for forty years..Nice to talk to you ,please keep in touch
Nell, thanks for the nice comments on my quilts. I love your blocks! My parents 50th wedding anniversary is this year and my sister and I will be starting a memory quilt for them soon. Since my dad was in the navy for 20 years, stars will be a part of the quilt. I will be making those blocks and the friendship star is one star block I'm thinking of using. Machine piecing is not really my thing, so its going to be a challenge! Debbie
Trianglepoint is a real jewel for design ideas, although I do usually have to tweak the shapes a little to avoid doing a lot of those darn triangle compensators! Thanks for the tip on the graph paper website--I've been there before and definitely use it!
