Hi Nena Lois.
Fun reading about those of us in this big ole' state of ours.
What is the next show you plan to attend? I went to the Airing of the Quilts in Huntsville (o5/o2/o9) and enjoyed it so much that I want to go to every local (within 4 hrs drive of Hou.) show around or at leat one show a month.
Do you know of any ones this summer?
Hi NenaLois. I love the background on your page. How pretty. I noticed you are a shopper at Las Colchas. I've been a customer there forever. I learned to quilt there and it just so happens my good friend, Francine, is one of the owners. I've now started working there on Fridays, sometimes Thursdays too. It's such a fun and friendly shop. Please say hello next time you're in on a Friday. It's always nice to meet a fellow quilter in person. Take care.
I go to the quilt shop on Mainland called Memories By the Yard. It is right off Bandera Rd between 1604 and 410. They just moved there last year and is a nice friendly place with a good selection. But then most quilt shops are nice and friendly, aren't they? Aren't there any quilt shops in Bourne? That can be difficult but can also be a blessing in disguise sometimes. This place is very convenient for me and I tend to spend too much time and money there :) Sometimes I just go in and look at all the fabrics and buy one little fat quarter to feed my addiction! Nice to get to "know" some fellow quilters aound this area.
I just finished piecing one quilt and got the backing, so it is in line with the other five I have completed, but not quilted. Right now I'm taking a break from big projects to do a block for the Bluebonnet Shop Hop and my first block in the Quilt Haus' Fourth Saturday. I'm also down to block 12 of a 12-block quilt for my daughter - just have that and the border to go! Whoohoo!
