I've sewn all my life, it seems. I do alot of machine embroidery and have started doing more quilting. In my other life, I teach piano and play the organ.

Neta, thought I would right back on your page rather than in the group. White can be worn on many occasions. The most common times are during Eastertide and Christmas. Christmas is a short season, but White and Gold are the colors. But white is also used for weddings, Baptisms, and funerals and also for the celebration of the Eucharist/Communion . The most common design of course is the cross. It can be combined with other symbols (such as the cross and manger for Christmas, or the cross and double rings fro weddings, a chalice and wheat for communion). Will be interested in knowing what you finally decide on. I have made a couple of liturgical stoles and had plans to make others. I also helped a friend make one out of camouflage for a chaplain who was being sent to Iraq.
NETAAAAAAAAA Please check this link for classes on quilting in Honolulu......the class is on Saturdays for only $6 at the Iolani Palace Archives Building - 9:30am - 12:00pm.
Hi Neta.......I think the website you might be thinking about is jinnybeyer.com and the blocks are under free patterns and block a week. The template guide shows how the pieces go together and then the blocks are in 3 different sizes..... 6 inch, 10 inch and 12 inch. I saw this week was crossed canoes lol
Hi Neta.....yes, sometimes the posts can overwhelm one. But it is fun to lurk and just read and try to keep up with conversation. It is really fun when we get several conversations going at once. But the gals that you meet here do become special and the SBS blocks become additive? Was today the first time you met Maryam?? We are going to met in Sept. Can't wait.....
