Hi Norma, it's got embroidery stitches, but doesn't do the big designs.  Here's a link to an article.  The big feature that sold me was the needle down, pressure foot slightly raised feature which is invaluable for machine applique - now I can do circles and small detailed work with very little effort.

Norma, I have not had time to work with the pieces they are still in the back of my van.
They are so old and yellowed even on the muslin, will have to deal with them by hand I am sure. Quilt group is tomorrow don't have things together for that even...Guess it will be like this on and off all the way till first of the year. Hope your doing ok and got that large quilt basted already, not the turkey but the quilt basted!!

Norma, sorry it's been so long since I have been in touch. what a year, surgery, moved twice, yikes! and then back to work. Getting back to work was like starting from scratch, couldn't remember a thing, blank sheet, LOL! Oh well it all worked out and the last move I made was great, nice lovely old house in a quiet neighborhood. So I am now allowed to work from home, Whoo Hoo! Struggling to get some quilting done, always seems to be so much to be done, sigh. Hope life has been treating you good and that you and your family are well. I was seeing the note you had sent me way back about us getting together after the first of the year, well we sure didn't get that done. Maybe we can shoot for after the holidays and when the snow & ice cease to get together, I sure would like to do that. Well have yapped enough here, talk at ya sooner this time, I promise!

Back home from my quilt group at the library. We had the food day took the recipe Rebuen Casserole from the latest Family Circle, page 200, it was delicious and everyone love it, I have just enough for one meal for myself. Someone made those apple dumplings type desert from Crescent Rolls, hot with cool whip wow easy and delicious.
My friend brought in her tie quilts and I took several photos and she answered all the questions I had, naturally I forgot to bring in my square I started with one piece on it, still sitting on the kitchen counter, so I cut the ties I had taken apart and ironed into pieces I can use on a quilt, Cut the tail off and can use the two ends that are point as praire points sometime if I get that far. I keep thinking of more and more to do, I need to complete one more thing to feel better LOL I called Comcast to have them check my computer and see the problem, she ran several tests but could not see anything with it. Right now back into the net so will see how long that lasts before I have to have them come out. Have you seen new show Mike & Molley I understand its pretty cute and on tonight. I am out of here for now, funeral tomorrow so need to get some things done around here before I start running again tomorrow. Later PS did you see the Jags beat the Colts in the last 11 seconds. WOWIE

To buy or not to buy...what to do!

OK ladies.....my MC1100 is acting up again (3rd time) when embroidering until this time.  Now it sounds like an old Ford choking!  I'm thinking of trading this in and get an enbroidery machine and a sewing/quilting machine.  I would like to stay with the Janome for the sewing one.  I thought I would upgrade to the new Janome Horizon MC12000 but not sure if I want a combination again.  I'll find out more about then tomorrow when I go online and also call my quilt shop.   I'm… Continue
