About Me
I am recently retired, and spend my time quilting. I have replaced my HQ 16 with the Avante model which I love. I just need to build more confidence in my work. In the summer we kayak, walk and ride our bikes. In the winter quilt, read and work on our family tree.

Hi Olga, Wow your quilts are awesome!! I have a question about the Snow Days quilt, are you using the back stitch or stem stitch? Or something else? I have never done the stem stitch but I think it looks cool in the pictures I have seen of it. Just curious, Sandy

Hi Olga, and welcome to the Do You EQ? group.  Have you been using this design software for a long time, or are you like me and just (or is it still?) in the process of learning?  I look forward to getting yo know you better in this group.

Hi Olga,

Thanks for commenting on my quilt. All the quilts for my girls are bright and colorful - they usually help pick the fabric. If it wasn't for them, I'd have no pinks!

Enjoyed looking through your pictures, great quilts.

Hi Olga, The designs I used were from two Philomena Durcan books - Celtic Quilt Designs and Celtic Quilt Designs II. She gives the knot patterns, but I had to decide on the quilt layout - thus a very simple sashing/cornerstone/borders plan. I LOVED making it - so much so, that I am going to make myself one with a large center design - a Celtic Knot medallion center, then have borders around it to make it full bed sized. Amazon.com has the Durcan books as well as several others. Good luck!

Thank you for your lovely comments, and as I write this note, I am looking at some of the most beautiful quilts I have seen in a while.  I love the green and red/orange one!  Georgeous!  I sent you a friend request as well, if you are interested. Thanks again!
