Well it has happened. I have discovered the wonderful world of making fabric bowls. Because the last month has been so hectic I wanted something I could make quickly and finish all in one setting! It seems like it's been forever since I wrote or even have been able to visit this site!! I think I am having withdrawls. This time of year is grueling with all the graduations, weddings and everyday life moving into the summer months. But in good old AZ it has decided to get unbarably HOT and now I can get under the A/C and quilt. I am still working on my cathedral quilt which is going well. OK so some time ago I watched a video on You Tube about wholecloth quilts. Then I saw a video on Kayewood TV from Sulky about Crayon Quilts. These quilts are awesome and so much fun to make. I have a friend expecting a baby soon and am making her one of these quilts!! You use sandpaper and color the pieces with crayons and then iron it on your fabric and then outline with crayon or thread! Will post pictures when I get the top done!! I was just looking at all the posts on the main page and the groups that I have joined and then all the pictures. I started at about 4pm and my husband came in at 6pm and said "Could you maybe drag yourself away for some dinner?"

I just added a couple photos of a baby quilt that I am using as a guinea pig for free motion quilting. I have a serious deficiency when it comes to easy I think! I traced a friends baby hands and feet and then used them as a pattern for this quilt. I then added hearts and lines in between. I couldn't possibly start with something easy like stippling!! HAHA It looks OK from a distance but up close well that's a different story! But Jody is only a year old and won't notice!
