Patricia, would love to be your friend. I'm a retired RN, too; my license is due this month but have decided not to renew. I haven't worked for nearly 6 years so feel like I'm too far out of the loop to go back. Most of my career was spent working in nursing homes; one for 20 years and another for 10 years. Nursing home was not my first choice but the job offer was 8 miles from home versus 32 miles to the hospital I was at. With young children at that time, nursing home was the best choice. I worked my way up to director of nursing for nearly 4 years; got burned out so quit and went to second nursing home where I filled several positions over the years. I like this job now and hope I never lose it. Happy quilting!
I belong to a sewing group and we are always looking for "make it, and Take it projects" I did a class on the tea towel aprons. In addition to the pocket, I put an applique on the bib also out of the fabric I use for the pocket and ties. It's not necessary but I like the look. I have 3 pictures on my page of these aprons I made. I have made others but didn't post them.
Patricia, I seen your post on chat. Sorry I missed you. I love Missouri Star Quilt Co. I'm making some of those "Tea Towel" aprons for a client. I seen the video and started making them for myself to wear when I sew. I like to put my tools in the pockets. People come in and see them and then order them. I also made the disappearing nine patch quilt after see their tutorial. Love that web site and visit it often.
