I want to invite you to take a look of my book "Mosaic Tile Quilts" inspired by tile floors of historic buildings from Costa Rica and by Landauer Publishing. Inside this book you will find 9 projects which include quilt instructions along with beautiful pictures and a small historical review from each beautiful buildings . You can visit my author FB page Patricia -Sanabria Friederich to see my book signing and trunk shows events . I would be happy to go to your local quilting store or guild. Please send me a message with any questions you may have regarding appearance fees or other information.
Patricia
Sorry it took so long to accept the friendship request. I didn't notice it until this morning. Are you under a lot of snow? You have quite the winter out your way. We should have snow here, but so far it has evaded us this year. I think it all headed out East. Now I need to go check out your book. It sounds great.
Happy New Year Patricia!! I was looking around and decided to check out your profile. You are a very interesting person. I will have to see if I can find your book here in Penna. I love your quilts. Do you ever get to Penna??? I've been in Wisconsin many years ago. It has lots of hills and mountains like Penna. I made my Ex. stop at all the landmarks that had some kind of reading on them. Their is a lot of history dating back to the Civil War. I think my Ex. was getting tired of it. lol
It is time to go back to work I am very happy to let you know that I am having a trunk show and Book Signing January 18th at The Pickett Fence Quilt store in Prairie Du Chien,WI from10:30 to 12:30 that day. If you are in the area come and join us .it is a beautiful store with very nice and friendly people so stop by to get lots of new ideas for your 2014 projects. I will also have my quilts from my book on display along with other surprises
Well, you have lived in Wisconsin for a long time! I really like your book. I had read about it on the publisher's newsletter. Wisconsin is a really scenic state and they keep up their country roads better than any other state, so it is easy to get around and see the really pretty spots like Devil's Lake and Rib Mountain. Before I retired,I did travel nursing and did assignments in Wausau and Waupun.
Hi Patricia, nice chat we had, I liked you at FB, how do I get a signed book?
Have fun on your trip back to Costa Rica. I am sure you will have a good time reconnecting with family and friends. Travel safe.
Welcome Patricia. I was living in Iowa when I joined this group, but moved to
Arkansas 3 years ago. I have met with about 20 or more of the members a couple of times. This is a caring, sharing group of women. We have some extremely talented quilters and long-armers. Many of us are not quite as good, but still love making the quilts and enjoying the process.
We had an AFS student many years ago from Costa Rica. We have kept in touch with her and she has visited us once. Her father is a chicken vet and studied in Iowa. Small world.
Again, welcome.
Welcome,Patricia! Tell me how you ended up in Cedarburg! Do you like snow?
Look around at the tabs at the top to find people to meet, things to see, etc. Lots of people post photos of their quilting projects.
Nice looking, and neat that you could work Costa Rica history into the quilt book.
Hi Patricia,
I liked you on Facebook yesterday. Enjoy the site. It's fun to see everyone's projects.

Welcome Quilter Friend!
Just wanted to pop in to say “hello” and introduce myself. I’m Linda Hubalek, fellow quilter and author from Kansas. Books about pioneer women are my specialty, with a cooking or a quilting theme mixed into each historical fiction series.
It's nice to meet another author!
My Trail of Thread historical fiction book series, written in the form of letters sent back home, describes my ancestors’ wagon trail journey and homesteading in Kansas. Each book mentions twelve old-time quilt patterns, and I put drawings of them in the back of the books.
And my new books in the The Kansas Quilter series will be out late this fall. It’s about my great grandmother Kizzie Pieratt and the many quilts she made.
So if you like to read—besides quilting—please enjoy my blog and book excerpts on my website. Besides printed as paperbacks, my ten books are also available for your Kindle or Nook.
I have about a dozen quilts made by my great grandmother, (that we used all the time when I was a kid) so I’m into antique quilts and patterns. What kind of quilts and patterns do you like to work with?
Happy quilting and reading!
Linda Hubalek
