Good morning Patsy,
I think I know what you mean about piecing instead of making the quilt. I tend to do that too, I think cause it's my favorite part, and I'm not that great of a quilter, although the more I do it the less "kinks" I have. Also, I got a new machine this spring and it has a great walking foot with it. Makes it much easier to machine quilt. I didn't realize Cambridge was so close to NewComerstown. So that means you're not far from the "Cracker Barrel" either! I really like eating there, but we don't have any near Steubenville. And don't worry....you're not missing anything by not coming to Steubenville! HAHA
Have a great day.
I enjoyed looking at your photos. Very nice! I'm Rose and just joined here last week. I live in Wintersville, which is next door to Steubenville, so we are practically neighbors. Our church did a function with the Assembly of God Church in New Comerstown a few years ago so I have been to your fair town. I even got stopped by your nice policemen for speeding. I talked him out of a ticket because my speedometer didn't say I was speeding. He was nice to let me go. I really didn't think I was speeding.
Anywa, nice to meet you. Hope to chat with you more here on Ohio Quilters.
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
I think they just think you are so important that there is no way they are leaving you off of the notification list! I can't imagine why that isn't working but I hope your new method does the trick! If that doesn't do it, write to Karen Johnson at CT. She knows how to do everything and she'll get it straightened out!
Patsy, I think I'm not explaining very well - if it says "Stop Following" that means you ARE following and if you want to stop you need to click the action "Stop Following" ; then it will say "Follow" if you ever change your mind, you will need to click on follow. I guess what I am trying to say -- the page will show the option you are NOT currently doing so that you have the opportunity to choose a change. Did that make sense?
Hi Patsy Hope you are well? Now I have a question for you? Did Karen Johnson get in touch with you about your problem? Cause I emailed her to let her know that you where having problems with the email part of the group. Did both of you get it fix? Let me know ok yolanda
You may have noticed that the old Ohio Quilters group disappeared!!! Not sure if you were a member or not but we have it up and running again and would love to have you join us. Just go to: http://quiltwithus.connectingthreads.com/group/ohioquilters to sign up.
Went to Material Girl today and signed up for the bus trip to Columbus. Looking forward to it! Talk to you soon. Carol
There are 4 finished Quilts for Kids quilts in the pictures on my page. A robot one, a kitten one, and then 2 photographed together -- construction trucks and Dora the Explorer. They suggest you bind them by bringing the backing fabric over to the front and zigzagging. I'd never done it that way but tried it for these and it worked OK. I guess these are washed so much they want to avoid stuff coming loose as much as possible.
