Peggy I wrote the note below that says it came from Becky Wilson, this is Gloriann/Gloria. Not sure just how that happened. Becky and I do a lot of things together but we don't type on each others site. I did type it on my lap top and that makes no sense to me at all. I will have to put one of my three I.T. sons to work on this one.
Peggy is the Helen in our group a friend of yours? I have been unable to contact her. Was a bit worried she choose not to make blocks and left the group without saying anything. Please let me know if she is the same person. I am glad you and your friend Helen will be comming for lunch and the exchange. That will make our week end complete.
Peggy, I am sorry your not able to join us for our week end. Is it too far? No transportation? Or other? I don't mean to be nosey but sure would love to have you join us. I know what it is like to be home with a loved one all day everyday. Sometimes you can love them to much. Let me know if I can help out to get you here. Gloria
Peggy, I received you blocks last week. Sorry I didn't get to you right away. I've been so busy, I don't know if I'm coming or going or both at once. They are very pretty. I can't wait to see the rest. God Bless, Sandy
I was given a list of supplies to have in the house. Also we are to have in place backup people to come in and take care of the boys if both Geoff and I get sick. It was also suggested we get a generator.
We are to have a 2 week supply of water and food. Also we are to ask the Dr. if we can get an extra supply of presription drugs. Then get non-pres. drugs also : pain pills, stomach remedies, cough and cold medicines, fluids with electrolytes, and vitamins. We picked up Immodium and Gravol and a case of Gatorade.
Food: canned meats. fish, fruits, vegetables, beans and soups.
Protein bars and fruit bars, Dry cereal or granola, peanut butter, nuts, dried fruit, crackers, canned juices, bottled water, pet food.
Others: Soap and water, alcohol based hand wash, medicine for fevers, Thermometer, Immodium, Flashlight, batteries, portable radio, manual can opener, garbage bags, tissues, toilet paper.
Some of these items are in case you have a power outage .
We did it all as we figure it is better to be prepared.
Thanks for all the nice wishes for my birthday. It was very needed as the day did not go as I had planned. Had to spend some time in the hospital with my Mom. She is doing okay but still there. Quilt friends are the best.
