Oh, thats no fun! I didn't hear about a plane crash in NYC. I guess that's the way it is when you work for the NTSB. I guess we are kinda related, I work for the FAA. Like distant cousins. My daughter and I took my grandsons to Western Days in Mustang this evening. We got rained on all evening. They closed down one of the rides, the man said it didn't sound right. Yikes, who wants to be on a ride that flings you round and round, and it isn't sounding right? Not me. The boys had fun, though. That's Oklahoma in September for ya. The fair is coming up, more rain chances.
Happy quilting!

I understand the long commute. We lived in WA state, and I rode the ferry to Seattle every day for five years. That was three hours, unless there were storms or something that slowed the ferry down. Now I love my commute. Four miles each way. I was unlucky enough to be in DC on 9-11, I was heading toward the DOT building about two miles from the Pentagon when all that happened. It could change anyone's mind about where to live. You will be so happy to move back to OK with the short commutes, anything less than three hours will be gravy!
Happy quilting!

Penny,
I haven't been to the Charlie Bean Coffee place. I think a co-worker goes there a lot. Sounds like fun to me! I hope you don't have to drive to DC every day, I hear that drive is ugly. When I have to go to DC, I take the metro, I don't think I could drive on those highways, I am spoiled by Oklahoma traffic.
Happy quilting!

Penny,
I just saw your message. Where do you live in Virginia now? We lived in Virginia Beach for a few years in our Navy days. Be sure to keep in contact, and we have to get together when you move back to Mustang!
Happy quilting!

Wheatland - nice place. There is an Oklahoma City quilting group you might want to check out too. Central Oklahoma Quilting Guild - COQG. I am a member, and would love to introduce you around.

Not too active Penny. I thought it was a good idea in the beginning, but it sorta fizzled! Maybe I'll start popping in more now that you are here!!
