Married to a wonderful man, I have 3 daughter's ages
31, 22 & 20.
I am self taught in sewing, and everything I learned has either
been on my own, or by watching programs on TV/Internet, never
had any kind of formal or informal lessons, a cousin gave me my
first sewing machine in 1992.
During the year of 2006, I started recording the "Simply Quilts"
with Alex Anderson on HGTV, although I did not quilt, I did like
watching the program, but low and behold one day I saw a guest
show how to do a "stitch & flip" baby quilt, and thought "Hey I can
do that" so that is where my quilting got started.
To this date I have only made 3 quilts and one is still needing to
have the binding put on it. I do have a list of quilts I would like to
make, however I don't know when that will be happening either.
I love to sew, quilt, read, watch TV, music & computers.
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
