About Me
As of June 30, 2009 I am unemployed, laid off, like so many others. So, I will spend this summer job hunting. The large corporation that I was working for has relocated the work I was doing to Norfolk; that left me and eight others without jobs. Thank goodness I alway have my quilting and fabric fun. I have been sewing since childhood and come from a long line of seamstresses on both sides of a big family. I am not married, my immediate family is one adult son who is a software developer and helps me with all the new techie stuff.
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, machine quilting, crazy quilting, general sewing
My Pets
No pets just now.

Tired & Goofy

I was super tired last night after all day at the quilt festival. I wanted to post photos of the CT friends I met at the show and I got it half right. Here's my pic of Paula and let me say she is too cute and definitely looks way too young to have a 20 yr. old son that's contemplating marriage.

Ready for IQF

I am all ready for Quilt Festival. I have made my QWU name tag and I have a list of must see vendors & their booth numbers. This is the 1st yr. I will be going for 3 days. The most I have gone in the past is 2 days. But since I don't have a job to go to I might as well enjoy myself. The show is so big it's h… Continue

I did not get see anyone else from "Quilt with Us". I am sorry I did not get to meet you, but maybe there will be another opportunity soon...have a great day! Catherine

Trevi, Thank you for the nice comments on the "John's Fractions" quilt. I used to live south of Houston, hopefully it's cooled off there and the musquitos aren't bad.

Trevi, your prayers are so appreciated at this tough time for our community. Life is so precious, and hopefully these kids will all learn great lessons from it all. My heart aches for you over the loss of your daughter. That is what is bothering me the most through it all. I can't imagine. My mother's heart is aching.

Thank you for the input on basting and pinning. I took one class that taught the pinning method, so I was interested in the preferences and information from more experienced quiltors. Another Texas gal? I seem to be unable to invite friends tonight. Would you be my friend. I am still trying to figure out this site. My DH says I am borderline computer illeterate. I am learning!
