Renee, I like your quilts. Are you a Sunbonnet Sue lover, too? I love the redwork embroidery designs that are on the market. I've purchased quite a few of them. I've also bought clip art designs and have digitized them myself with Embird Design Studio. One of these days, I'll do a quilt with them. I'm thinking a pretty toile with the redwork would be so elegant!
I'd be happy to help you with Embird. I'm not an expert by any means, but I'll try to answer your questions. Have you purchased any tutorials? They are really worth the money and Embird owners always get a discount. I bought my Embird from the Secrets of Embroidery website and have gotten lots of the tutorials for free.
Just let me know what you need help with. Why don't you post your questions on the Machine Emb Buddies group so the other members can contribute? Or you can send me your questions directly.
Hi Rene, sorry it has taken to long to reply. Yes, I do machine quilt most of my quilts. The rest, I hand quilt. Sometimes I do quilting with embroidery designs. I take about as long deciding on how to quilt a quilt as the original quilt pattern. I am certainly not expert, but I try to learn something new with every quilt.
Thank you for your comments...I just added some more pics to my page...finding the pics on my computer has been the tricky part! The dove/cross is from Lovenest Designs. It is called Eternal Hope. I bought the original pattern at a LQS (local quilt store), but had misplaced it when I rec'd a request to make 2 more. I think I googled Lovenest Designs on the internet and found a place to order it...if that doesn't work let me know and I can give you some more info.
I am only(!) 51 so retirement isn't in my picture yet, but I work part-time so that helps (both with time and "addiction" $). How far are you from NE Indiana or Fort Wayne?
