I haven't had much quilting time, but just finished a little tote and a couple of other small projects. Otherwise, fall is here and so the kids are back in their respective schools (one in college and the other in the last year of high school).

I understand about the economy. Both my son-in-law and my step-daughter were laid off. He was laid off the end of January and can't find work in his field - he's a welder. My step-daughter was laid off the end of March and the company she worked for said they would hire her on a contract basis. The only problem was she had a company car, a company computer and insurance. So we had to get her a car, a computer and she has been scrambling to get insurance for the family. I just hope things turn around real soon.
My book club read Elizabeth Berg's 'The Art of Mending' last year and we enjoyed it.
