About Me
I love to quilt, but forced to work-well, was until July 2010. Then, I quit! It is marvelous! I have been quilting for over 20 years and now have ventured onto my own web site. I have a site dedicated to quilters and the love of the art. Nothing fancy, just for fun.
I do a lot of traditional, and occasionally do some art quilts.
I recently was interviewed to become the editor of a national quilting magazine, and asked to interview for a position at the AQS Museum in Paducah. It was so exciting! Both would have required a move without Mr. Man Cave for awhile, so that part wasn't so good. Whatever. I am very happy at home!

Here, Kitty, Kitty! (aka: My $5 Vintage Sewing Machine Adventure)

Posted on March 26, 2014 at 11:13am 4 Comments

As you know, I am a quilter in addition to a baker. If there are two things we quilters are known for, it's that we all have a large fabric "stash" and most of us love to "collect" vintage sewing machines. The fact most of us already have one or two high-end computerized name brand machines with…

A Great Cake Recipe!

Posted on January 24, 2014 at 7:11am 2 Comments

Oh the weather outside is certainly frightful with 45 mph winds, but that won't stop me from baking up a great cake this morning! I wanted something that I could pop in the fridge and quilt the rest of the day--so I whipped up an oldie but a goodie from my Quilter Cook recipe box!

Try it! Your family will love it! (Don't let the name scare you...I run a very clean blog. I'm a good Lutheran girl after all...)…

Hi Rhonda, Madison is a great place to be! I lived there 10 yrs. How perfect you live right by Stitchers Crossing. There's a group Madison Contemporary Fiber Artists that meets on the west side, if you haven't already found them. I really enjoyed this group when I lived there.

I wish I could write like you do. How could I tell students to write like you do with interest that holds you to the end? I got to sub-teach in 9th grade  English class in March. I read many papers with a "F" given by the teacher and  they did not understand why such a low grade. ( I always felt that way too.) Many were rather dull to read. Any "tips".

Wow!  You've been very productive with the novel.  I think you've inspired me to grab my notebook, go outside (and try to find a dry place in the yard) and work on Mission Charlie.

Well Rhonda, it's raining and chilly in most of the state today.  Actually, it's been chilly for days. Seems like April is really hanging onto cooler temperatures this year!
