This is the next one to go to the quilter.  The border is a  bit stretchy.

The fan quilt below is a mini, less than a foot on any side.  My mom pieced it, and I quilted it together.  My grandaughter will inherit when she is a little more mature.  She's almost there.…

This one needs a little something.  The usual branch is not me.  I need to add the unexpected.  Let me know your thoughts.

Here is the pattern I used:

http://www.connectingthreads.com/Patterns/Baby_Talk_Flannel_Quilt_Pattern__D991077.HTML

It is a free pattern from Connecting Threads (thank you, CT!).  When you download the Baby Talk Flannel Quilt pattern, the baby clutch ball pattern and templates are included as a bonus.  There are other variations of this little ball on the internet - "baby grab ball" was one of the more common names, "Amish puzzle ball" was also found.  Some of these are just made of little football shapes tacked together at the ends so the middle is open.  Mine is made up of triangle units with the football shape just at the top and the triangle seams are sewn all the way down to the middle.  Guess you could do it either way with this project, too.  (I have added this to the comment section in my post as well.)

That is horrible Robbin!  I hope you have good insurance although that doesn't help with the hassle part of this.
