Robin, I just viewed the slide show again and wanted to let you know tbat for some reason the counter isn't showing the number of views. Also my last name has the 't' left out - it's spelled Radtke. A misspelling that is very common. Feel free to give out my contact info to the recipients of my quilts as well. Congrats on a job well done. I bet you're exhausted but on cloud nine.
The 15th will work just fine...we are doing another photo shoot on the 18th, so I just wanted to make sure I had as many as possible before then...Thanks again for all your hard work, and with all you other commitments, that you made the time to help with this project! One question though...will the quilts be complete or will we still have to quilt them?
Robin, I am still finishing up a couple and my plan is to bring the 7 quilts I have to you at the latest on the 15th. My intent was never to drag this out to the last minute, but I have a tendency to wear too many hats for my head! Never fear, I will have them there! I hope all the other ones promised show up. If you send me your telephone number, I will call you when I get to Hood River. If I come on the 15th I'll stay in Hood River the night of the 15th with my girls. It has been a while since we did a "girls weekend" and they don't have school on Monday, so it would be perfect. However, if I come before the 15th, it will be a one day down and back with hubby. I hate to be so wishy washy about the date, but that is sort of how my life is right now. Hope you are doing okay and not letting this gathering of quilts be a worry. Worrying is non-productive, you know. Looking forward to hearing from you and know you can count on me!
I know my family would love for my energy level to be decreased by a few notches probably, so we will see if I can transfer some to you in October! I'm up to my chin in GS camps at the moment, but sneak off to the sewing room to regroup occasionally. Okay, I'm not quilting, but making a huge stuffed elephant for decoration in the 1st Aid station. One of my crazy fun things I do for the girls at camp! You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I have done in the past for camp! Have a good day, find time to do something for yourself that brings you pleasure, Robin.
I am so thrilled you asked me to join your friends group! I wouldn't miss this retreat for anything and meeting you is the icing on the cake, or fudge on the ice cream (I really am an ice cream fan!). In fact, I think I was the first to sign up. Jody is marvelous. I can't wait to meet her and all the devoted quilters who are close enough to make the journey for the retreat. I'm having fun making these quilts for the men and women in your daughter's unit. What fun it will be for them all to have one - and they will because there are so many wonderful ladies out there determined to make it happen!
