I went shopping at Hobby Lobby & Joanne's Faberic in Jeff City friday to get more faberic I'm just adicted to buying faberic I think. I did get a pink & brown receiving blanket done and a baby quilt top just need to quilt it now. Thanks for the encouragement.
Each of the shops has a unique personality, just like quilters, so I'm sure you'll find one that will become one of your new favorites.
Bittersweet - Jo Morton civil war reproductions, Kansas Troubles, lots of 30's, flannels, batiks, great variety. Good pattern and book selection. Lots of sample quilts.
Block by Block - Florals, brights, batiks, 30's. Great variety, but not much Kansas Troubles or civil war. Kid prints and panels available. Good pattern and book selection. Quite a few sample quilts.
Country Store - Variety. I haven't been there for a while, but they used to have a good variety of novelty prints. Samples also. They have a lot of crafty items for sale made by local crafters.
Sew Neat - Variety. Thimbleberries, soft florals, flannels, novelty prints, good selection of books and patterns. Not too many sample quilts and this shop has a couple of cats.
Hope this information helps you make a plan for a trip down here.
