About Me
I have only been quilting about a year and it has already taken over most of my 'hobby' time. I also enjoy loom knitting and reading but the love of my life is the men in my life - 3 sons and a new husband. I recently ended my stint as a widow and married a man who had been a widower for some years.

alike! I was beginning to think that quilters were just helpful, friendly, giving people because across the board, that is what I have found over the past year. Well, I finally stumbled upon a group - yep! a GROUP - that is not helpful or very friendly for that matter - at least not to newbies! I guess that just shows that quilters are human also so they can't all be perfect, right?!

Anyway, I like it here and one other place I found so I don't need that third group! Groups…

My first king size quilt .....

Posted on June 21, 2010 at 1:00pm 12 Comments

My first king size quilt is finally finished... I chose to piece both sides of the quilt - something I didn't know you could do when I started quilting just over a year ago. The dimensions of the finished quilt are 110"x116". The quilt has over 3,000 rail pieces plus a 3 piece border and binding. It took me just about 8 months to finish. During that time, I also completed 3 crib quilts, 4 lap quilts, 1 twin quilt, 3 hot pads, and 1 purse. I have a…

Hi Rosemary, I was thinking maybe you should write a blog introducing the Keystone Quilters group. Since it will be posted on the main page it might be seen by more people. Just a thought.

Loved your rag quilt that you posted for us to see in blogs. Nothing is ever just a block quilt, all quilts are works of art. The fabrics you picked to make yours brings a simple project to life. Sometimes it the fabrics that do this othertimes it the way you quilt a project. What you think is oh hum others think they are beautiful.

Hi Rosemary,
How much of the yellow fabric do you need? I think I have about a yard. If you want it, send me you address by email on this site and I'll mail it out to you.
Take care,
Dianne

you are welcome - but looking at the 2 comments - I was glad that Karen could maybe find some ... - but I don't think she will have your message - because I think you kind of answer yourself..... - send it directly to her - and I know that if she can she will be glad to help you - also I went in the clearance fabric and nothing for you - but other colors .... only you, know if they could match????? hope so - again good luck
