Hi all!
Looking at the last time I posted I was shocked to see it’s been almost 2 years! I do pop in from time to time to see what everyone has been working on!
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and finding time to do some quilting!
One of my latest quilts I quilted for a customer a few months ago! …

This time of year is always super busy for me. This week I got to work on an absolutely stunning hand appliqued Nutcracker quilt. She not only hand appliqued it, it has so many tiny embellishments on each block. Buttons, beads, and glittery threads. She made it for her daughter and grandson and the whole time I was working on it I just kept thinking how lucky her daughter and grandson are. This quilt is hands down the most beautiful quilt I've had the pleasure of quilting! I am going to try…

The couple who got married this summer that I made a quilt for are expecting. I found this panel and just had to buy it! It's an easy fix to my lack of time to make them something before the little one arrives. Of course it isn't square, I don't think I've ever purchased a panel that is, so I tried to square it on the frame but I wasn't completely successful so I will have to cut down the border which is why there isn't anything fancy quilted in the border. *sigh* I am pleased with how it…

Fall is coming fast! I just mowed yesterday and what leaves there were got chopped up in the mower but when I went outside this morning, more leaves!! Thankfully DH does the leaf collecting duty so sooner rather than later I will be turning the lawn work over to him.
This past week I got some time to make a small table runner for my sister in law who equally loves Halloween as much as I do. She is not into sewing so she asked if she bought the fabric would I make it? No need to ask…

Hi I am trying to post a Xmas message in the comments on the main page and it won't send, have u any ideas why?
I'm sorry to hear you have a bad cold. Everyone around here has either got it or had it and so far I have managed to stay well. But there is still plenty of Winter left so I doubt I will escape it.
Thanks, Roxann. It is very much appreciated.
Long arm hs become a job, congratulations, not an easy task.
The tennis shoes on the groom were black patent leather as the groomsmen all had black patent dress shoes.
Roxann - I'm glad you like my patriotic stars wallhanging. I adapted it from Nancy Martin's 'Nancy's Fancy' pattern. I used my (then EQ6) to design the blocks and pattern. I would be happy to share the two blocks with you, and the pattern. You can email me at elder(dot)barb(at)gmail(dot)com
Nothing beats ranch life in my book. I agree with you, I would have a hard time transitioning to town living, but I've lived my whole life in the country, outside of about 4 years after graduating high school (college & work).
I'm always doing research on longarm quilt machines. What made you switch from Gammill to Innova? What have you found to be the pros and cons of each? If you'd rather not comment about that publicly, just friend me and send a private message. Thanks!
Thanks Roxann for that tip for my quilt. I will have to buy some fabric sheet and bags and give it a try. May help also keep my nose from running.
Roxann, do you live in the USA? I have a top that I would like quilted. It may not pay to send it too far.
