Hi Ruth Ann..  Thanks for the comments on the snowmen quilts.. Both of them are from my friend up in northern Idaho who has a log cabin quilt shop/bed and breakfast, here's the link to her page:  http://www.quilthousebedandbreakfast.com/

She has classes for the machine applique there, as well as other classes and retreats.  I went there last summer for the machine applique class, and am going again in about a month for the floral colorwash Irish chain quilt.  Very nice place, very relaxing, a step back in time with no TV, internet or cell phone coverage (at least not AT&T)!

I see that you've done the avocado cat pattern.. lol.. I love all of those and one of these days will do some of those too.  You've done some other nice pieces too..

Too little fabric, too little time!  :)

Glad you were able to find the pattern.  Some day you will find the time and energy to get all those UFOs done.  They aren't hurting anything in the meantime!!!

Yes, we've had quite a bit of snow this winter.  But not as much, I think, as MA, NJ, and NY.

On Wednesday we got about 10-12 inches.  My sweet husband got the deck all clean and pretty yesterday morning.  Yesterday afternoon, while we were out, all the heavy, icy snow from the roof slid off onto the deck and took out the gutters and facing on the house with it.  Just one of the reasons I'm glad we rent and not own.  Though I could've done without clearing the deck a second time, especially after getting home from work at 5PM...

I heard GA got some snow earlier this winter, too.  Did your area see any?

Thanks for the comments on my "new" sewing room.  I do enjoy the cutting table - it is counter height so no more back aches!!!  Since I don't do garment construction any more, I really don't need a huge cutting table.  This smaller version works better in this "smaller" room.  I enjoyed doing the counted-cross stitch wall hanging several years ago.

Hi, Ruth Ann!

I'm currently in Essex Jct.  I have also lived in Morrisville, Rutland, and Lyndonville.  (Not to mention about 15 years in New Hampshire.)

I see you're a Silpada Rep!  I have a pair of Silpada earrings that I love.

I'm currently doing Dove Chocolate Discoveries direct sales & parties.  I like the fact that the product is consumable, so no one can ever say, "I've got enough chocolate, thanks, I don't think I'll be needing any more."  ;)

Ruth Ann, thank you for your nice comments on my Walking in a Winter Wonderland Quilt.  It is a Crabapple Hill pattern, but I added the outer border. The pattern shows it done in reds, but I wanted to use it as a winter season quilt.

I really like your Queen and her court quilt. I thought I might make that one sometime, but it is on my long bucket list.

Merry Christmas to you.

Thanks for the compliment--good luck with your needleturn applique--it's the only way I do it.  You have some beautiful work in your photos--no stranger to applique!!

Best wishes for a blessed Christmas and a very happy new year!!
