Hi Sandra, I got your block, it is beautiful! Thanks. I might just end up making a table runner or wall hanging, unless I make more blocks and just and the 3 I recieved to the quilt. Don't think I am going to recieve any more but you never know. Have a great day and thanks again for my Birthday block.
I make all my bindings 2 1/4 in, fold in half sew raw edges together from the front and turn the fold to the back and hand sew using invisable stitches about 1/4 in apart. Works for me and I really don't mind the hand sewing.
We aren't supposed to get more snow than you are expecting. Our 2 girls lilve in the Columbus area so they probably had a not so fun time getting home from work. Besides, people down there don't know how to drive in snow. Sorry you all from that area but it's true. We are old hands in the snow belt.
I went and got the 1930 reproduction fabric (cream with umbrella print) today so that I can get started on your block. Wish me luck as I am pretty new to quilting. I took two projects to one of the amish neighbors to finish them for me as I just cannot get my head into them. Happy Birthday to you.
